Plants looking sad. Root bound? Nute deficiency or burn? Over/underwatering?

Okay so the last few days have been a rollercoaster.

13/14 day old random seeds
Under a 400w MH light about 21" from the top
Temp is about 85 degrees
Ebb and flow system
Light is on 20/4
Watering is 4 times a day every 6 hours (6am, 12pm, 6pm, 12am)

I began by watering them too much originally (5 times a day) and it stunted their growth. I changed it to 4 and they were flourishing for a while. However, they were still drooping after watering so i decided to change it to 3 times a day once every 9 hours for watering. Well the day I changed the cycle I came home and found them drooping really bad. I quickly changed it back.

It's been two days and they're not perky though.

I changed out their water on Monday and according to the back of the product (Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow) I should up the nutes. Well I did and since then I'd been noticing problems. In my last problem I noted that the edges of one of the leaves began to curl and then after a few days the leaves began to curl under. A lot of them! Then the tips of some began to turn yellow. I also found a few threads on here stating that the nutes recommendation by botanicare is way overstated for hydro setups.

So last night I flushed it out, put it back at the old amount of nutes and now I'm just waiting but I'm still worried.

So the symptoms are extreme drooping, tips of leaves yellowing, edges of leaves curling and end of leaves curling under.

I'm also thinking it might be that the pots are too small. you can see them in the pic. The roots are starting to show at the drain holes of the pots. Maybe this is from them being root bound? Can I just transplant them? How big should I go? Or is it not a problem? Please help

Oh and repot when the roots start protruding out the pots...
Id be interested in how you pot up using clay balls without them spilling out and disturbing the roots???

You guys bombed! Looks like something wrong with it to me. You wanna know if you should raise your nutrients? Before I respond to that I would like to know how many ppm's are you running now? It don't look like nutrient burn yet just that one brown tip I seen. Before you had trouble was it right after you changed your tank out?

Ppm is about 700-800 including my tap. Without my tap ppm its about 445 according to my water report.

They're watered every 6 hours 4 times a day. Changing it to 3 times every 9 hours pissed them off bad. They were drooping so bad some were nearly touching the stem.

And excuse my ignorance, this is my first grow but what do you mean about potting up with the clay balls and disturbing the roots? I started with a rapid rooter pellet and I just embedded them in the hydroton and haven't really touched them since. I can just see roots poking out of the drain hole. How should I go about repotting? Anything to be especially careful with?

And yeah, problems started right after my res change.

Thanks!!

You getting your tap water ppm from your water report? You don't have a ppm meter? Your mixing you nutrients by what I call eye balling it by ml's~with out a ppm meter you don't know what your feeding'em? Just wondering if you have a ph meter?

Yeah sorry. No ppm meter yet. Measured by ml's to gallons and did the math conversion. The recommended dosage on the fert bottle is 15ml per gallon and I cut it to 7.5.

I do have a ph meter though. Its in check at 6.0

Hi i think your plants look fine. The leaves just appear to perhaps be a little heavy for the stem thus making them appear as if they are underwatered or overwatered. Keep checking on them as it does look like there could be a slight over water problem, monitor it and you should be fine.
