Plants look like shit at week 6 of flowering

Where do I begin?

- Leaf TIPS CURLING DOWN since i first transplanted
.
- My plants went from a beautiful vibrant GREEN to almost completly YELLOW. I thought a slight nitrogen deficiency is supposed to happen during flowering, but not this!

- Buds are very small (dont be deceived by pictures)

- STEMS of most leaves are PURPLE. Purple stems usually mean phosporous deficiency. Thats weird concidering im using flowering nutes with higher levels of phos.

Im using soil in 3 gal. pots. Nutrient pH is 6.3-6.5 Soil pH (runoff test) was 7.0ish at last feeding. Im usually watering every 4 days on average as thats when pots feel light. Im using General Organics Nutrient line.

Just below are pics of the plants at 2 weeks ago and 1 month ago. Some pics you can see the buds begining and then you can see some of the pics shows the buds more developed and then just a few weeks later at week 6 (now) you can see the pics above at the tops of this page. They went from nice and healthy looking to shit. above

Anyone out there please HELP. My plants and I are struggling here. Should I flush or just feed tonight as planned? There are no nute burns. Sooo.. I dunno. I feel like trashin them. When i saw these problems starting a few weeks ago I tried a flush and followed different advice and everything just got worse. fuuuuuuuck! Help.

I just did a pH of the runoff and without fail, as always the ph is 7.1 - 7.2 even though im using water / nute solution that are pH 6.3 - 6.5. What the fuck?!

iron deficiency driven off lockout , ur plants refuse to play the game , back off with water , dig up the top soil , add iron , micronutrients in general and phosphorus , dont let run off water stay in trays soaking the bottom of the pot

now u know , u dont need to flush ur ass off when u have burned ur plants that little , u just plain water 1-2 times , 1 half strenght and then as u should

thats god advice. My concern is im affraid of disturbing surface roots by "digging up top soil" Also i already added a micronute (only) solution 4 days ago. and where do i get straight iron from? Chelated iron or something like that?

I never let plants soak water back up. when im feeding , i always empty trays.

i dont know the correct word to describe the diggin u should do , u just desturb the top inch of the soil and u moove until u start hiting some roots , cutting 10-20 thin roots of the plant will not affect anything and especially into this stage , it has lost a lot of its leaves and now the root to shown plant ratio is declining

u start of desturbing the soil close to the wall of the pot roundly , the more u gettin closer to the stem of the plant the less deeper u dig

u can add iron nails or fillings but now u need something rapid acting , any store that sells plants should carry some iron , the best nails are the old ones that have vidible rust on them or the cheaper one ( the ones that rust easily )

as for the volume of the buds they go along with the medium they are in , a bigger one would help , if u cant afford it for any reason ( measurment limits and such ) trimm off the lower 1/3 part of the plant at around 1st-2nd week of flower to promote growth on the branches closer to the light source

can u upload a pic with a comparison ( a ligther a cig box ) cause from what it seems the plants look perfect in that matter

they seem to have some time left so to get them a lot fatter than now , have u grwon that plant in the past ? do u have a reference ?

Iron u get browning on half the leaf and then slowly it turns yellow but the sides stay brown and he does not have that. i would go with sulfer or nitrogen that fits that plant alot better and if it is 6 weeks flowering the plant takes all the nut from the leafs to make but that is y he still has some nice green leafs left. get yourself a 60-100X magnifying glassa and look at the trichomas on the plant and see what colour they are. and i would start giving your plants straight ater because looks like u have a week or so left u dont have to flush u can still feed them nuts) just my personal opinion. that or your ph might be off lol

i noticed the not so profound for iron deficiency pattern but i got 2 things , one is that N deficiency starts of low and always on older leaves , not random , also that pattern is not normal for a N deficiency either BUT its the normal pattern of iron deficiency on many other types of plants , im not saying that its ok with N , the plant has a ph swing it cant take up a lot of things , adding acidic content like high N tho will make things worse , in the stage which yousername is he can afford loosing fan leaves

if the looks of the leaves was that bad in the older set of pics then yes he should be worried about N deficiency

it reminds me of Sagamartha seeds what do u have in mind mik ?

basikaly iz IMMOBILE micronutrient defeciency it happent once when i had big ass mother i flowered i overdosed da P which cauzed a zinc def at this stage i think its too late wait untill da hairz will start to turn brown and harvest

i know all these probs is most likely due to a lockout caused by high pH, but then again the pH was always that high even when the planst were in their prime. so who knows....

Also the pistils (hairs) are starting to turn brown. when should i harvest??? im going to order a good loupe or mcroscope to check out the tricomes.

PS. the strain is GRANDADDY PURPLE.

I use a Milwaukee Instruments pH meter. Calibrated and cleaned regularly.

Buds will just about double in size the last few weeks of flower.

That is a Nitrogen deficiency. Most nute regimines cut back on the nitrogen during flower too much. I like to run veg ferts into flower the first week or until the buds actually become visible.

Don't worry though, they look fine for 6 weeks. Not the best but they still have plenty of green to finish. Next time use a little more N early flower.

Edit: Btw, depending on your soil. If it has enough dolomite lime mixed in, it will stabilize the ph to 7ish.

Im thinking that maybe i have salt, mineral, residue buildup from the fertilizers. I ve never done a "real" flush. Maybe im getting a nute lockout due to buildup. any thoughts???

OMFG all u fucking ppl are stupid, i dont normally talk like that but wow some ppl on here think they know n e thing an everything about a marijuana plant. ITS A FUCKING WWEEEEEDDD, shit is unprodictable and u cant solve everything everytime. THE WORST THING U CAN DO IS START FUCKING WITH UR PLANT MAN SERIOUSLY!!! The only extremes u should be going to at this point is flushing or lowering ur nutrient dosage. Ur shit isnt perfect but u dont need to be doing n e thing hardcore or ur harvest is going to be shit. Generally ur problem is proooobably what u say, nute lock out becuz of a high ph, or becuz u have fed too much over time and it needs a good flush/cleaning. Yet, when growin gin soil, the soil usually acts as a buffer and ph is usually at a median most of the time so idk just keep it simple and just flush/water instead of that feed that is scheduled, then go back to feed, water, feed, water etc etc

agreed. can u see a white residue on the top of the soil when it drys out. cuz this is an indication of salt build up from ur high ppm, high alkaline water. city water isnt usually the best, i use 0 ph water at all times, distilled water.
