Plants Constantly in Cal/Mag deficiency?

It seems like every time I turn around my plants are in a cal/mag deficiency. It’s frustrating considering I give them a dose of cal mag about every three waterings, liquid seaweed in between and sometimes a plain watering or maybe I mix in a bit of worm castings. I really try to keep it light with the nutrients to try to AVOID these problems since I am new to all this. I really do baby my plants and I’m always really disappointed in myself for letting this happen to them. It’s like they’re guzzling and guzzling the cal mag I give them. I suppose just give it to them more often? Any response helps. Pics attached below, and thank you in advance.
(Some truly don’t seem affected by it but others are very sensitive..hm)

I felt dumb I literally JUST thought of that. Is it okay to give them a low dose of roots organic HPK??
Ah who says I’m right, but that fatter stem that’s purple prob isn’t genetics right now, paired with the leaf, prob best bet. I’m not familiar with organic stuff, phosphorus should be readily available so anything with it in it should get you going the right way. I’m not sure if there’s a organic way to give them just phosphorus, maybe search around quick and check it out.

The leaf looks like a P def.

Yeah often PH can be to blame, and Ph issues can arise from temperature and or humidity issues. Always have to look at the bigger picture as a whole. Many neglect the temperature and humidity which is like a base condition that needs to be correct before you try problem solving. The next would be to test ph run off. Then if you certain those arent wack, try adding phosphorous based supplements. Maybe try a basic root focused nute in half doses to see if that corrects the issue but as i say, PH, humidity and temp check first

SO. I know I’m going to get grilled for this. But. I don’t ph my water. I never have. I use tap water. My lights aren’t the best either I’m sure, I bought them off amazon. Roleadro 1000 w LED lights. Two of them. I try to keep my humidity around 40-50% since I have had autos flowering in there sometimes. They are all planted in FFOF and I try really hard to only give them organic nutrients. Earthworm castings, liquid seaweed, fox farm wholly mackerel and Sensi cal mag xtra. I give them roots organic high pk in flower. My plants have seemed relatively healthy until about a month ago, but I’ve had them in veg for over three months and I’m just now switching them into flower.

I agree with this guy, I used to get calmag problems all the time, mine was due to overwatering and throwing the ph balance out. I gave a good flush with PhD water then quarter strength nutes

Take me for example. I had my tent in the garage which isnt well insulated and has old wooden doors that let cold, humid air in all the time as well as having a cold, damp concrete floor. Its close to winter where i am, my plants grew well initially as seedlings and young plants need high humidity (60 to 80%) but now as they get bigger, transpire more and the environment gets wetter with rain etc, its not helping my problem especially if i intend to flower soon as flowering needs 20 to 40% humidity otherwise bud rot and lack of trichomes sets in.

So today i moved the tent into the office, not ideal at all but we working on it LOL. So anyway main point was my plants were going yellow, wilting and having slow growth. As well as spotting leaves. My soil i use is a cannabis specific mix that is complete and is advertised as being enough to last until flowering.

So all i can say is the two variables i think causing the F up is the excess humidity/ temp fluctuations, or its my tap water which i think may need to be put in a barrel to allow the chlorine to evaporate over night before watering. Iv got a shitty PH meter my mate lent me, but im gonna buy a blue labs pen soon and then i can test the run off of my pots, as well as the tap water. Then we can draw conclusions. So many people dont pay attention to PH and gad damn its so important dude. My outdoor grow last year was a mess up purely from adding too many nutes and or chlorine in the water!

3 things ...

1. Next time ph your water / and or “ feeds “ . FFOF is prebuffered at 6.3 ( right out of bag ) , even if you are “ trying to grow organic “ ,
you should at a minimum try to MATCH the host medium. Look at your leaf and the following... Ph swing

F05E5D2A-EE55-466C-9A4F-6F5AF2D3C595.jpeg ..... look familiar ?

2. You are overloading a medium that is already adequately charged ... by dumping excess into it . EWC is a fine addition to “ any soil “ .... CALMAG can be a necessary evil at times ( especially led grows ) when symptoms call for it. And that can be caused by lower transpiration in led grows compared to HID / HPS that provide IR and heat .

3. Believe it or not , that soil ALONE on PH water would have squashed much of those issues .
Also , that bottled feed would be surpassed by simply “ top dressing “ more FFOF ( alone ) and just watering in.
Think about it .... plant begins life in host medium ... it becomes acclimated to it ( without excess outside Nutes ) , you top dress MORE when necessary ..... plant is not overwhelmed because it’s the same host soil. All you are doing is recharging it as it is depleted during grow.

How simple is that ?

Many growers trip themselves up with this soil and its for the same reasons that you have going on.

Curious on the ph'd water. I'll ph to 6.3 as thats what the soil is pre ph'd at, let is sit and then come back and the ph has swung wildly lower.

Any suggestions to help dial it in? I'd given up ph'ing my water due to the swing and I figured if its going to do that then Wtf why bother at all.

Wondering if this issue on this plant is ph, or mag def?
