Plant's Almost Dead: Can I Harvest ?

Well every where I read people seemed to be divided....Flush, Don't Flush...Feed till the end....Stop feeding....With strong conviction too mind you....So I had no idea what to believe....The local hydro guy told me my plant should be totally yellow....Well how the hell do you know when a plant is going to finish ? How do you know when to stop feeding ?

So I decided I would do something in the middle...Stop feeding, and just water...And maybe water a little extra...

Well the strain is supposed to be 9 to 11 weeks....Around 10 weeks I stopped feeding....The trichs then were mostly clear some cloudy.....Maybe half and half....

Well here I am at 11 weeks plus 1 day.....Trichs are mostly cloudy, maybe 85% ? The rest are clear...I do not see any amber.....

The problem is all the leaves are drying out, browning, and some are now dead.....I guess hash is out of the question, eh ? Can't see how to make hash from brown dead leaves....The big issue I see is the dead leaves on the main cola....The leaves are browning and dying...Like the leaves are browning right into that beautiful main cola....Also seems to be getting like a big dry dead spot on the main cola....

I could have kept this green till the end no problem...Is that where the "Keep It Green" comes from ? I always thought it was a pot smoker saying meaning to keep smoking or something.

I guess there are a bunch of questions here, and points I brought up....But, I guess what I am asking is should I harvest now ? Or keep letting the plant turn brown more ? It really bugs me that not one trich is amber....I hope I can get a decent high off it still....

I have to think from now I am will be "keeping it green" till the end.

yeah, it doesn't look ready to me.. at least another few good weeks or so on her...
and i'm a believer in that you should always try and keep the plant healthy and green right up to harvest.. healthy, happy plants, the better the end results will be imvho..
i'd do my best at keeping them a live as long as you can though, definitely not worth chopping them down this soon, again, imvho..

Yeah, just try to fix the problem and let it keep going, also i think hash is still a possibility, there is still some ok areas.

UPDATE:

That brown spot in the middle of the cola was bud rot....I had to hack the whole top cola off...I probably lost about 2 oz from the rot but I think I till managed to pull around 3 or 4 oz or so from it.....

I'm wondering what caused it ? moisture ? weak air flow ?

There are some weird brown spots in the leaves...Could they have lead to the mold ?

I still have about 14 lower bud sites...Hoping each one of those to yield about 1/2 oz each....Should I start feeding her again maybe ?

This stuff is wicked strong....Just about makes my eyes water like when you cut an onion.

well, the good news is you dont have to wait anymore, other than drying and curing.
i think it was humidity, cause a see your fan, and the tips look burnt, regardless you got some nice buds there.

that fan wasn't blowing on the plant...I had it blowing upwards towards the lights to help cool them....Believe me, now I have that fan blowing on the plant, lol.

Does anyone think pics 3 through 6 could be the possible start of seed formation ? Or, are those just part of the bud/flower ? They are kind of a yellowish color, and they are deep inside the bud.

Hmm it makes me wonder......It looks like it could be seed formation, but in my experience (very small experience) I have never seen seeds "deep inside" the plant if theres not already a ton of them on the main cola or bigger lower bud sites. Maybe its just the flowers that were starting to rot? Anyways, good luck with the rest of your grow and keep us updated! May the ganja gods be with you ^^

yeah, the bulk of the seeds should be on the outer surface. not sure but i have my doubts about that being seed

man, what strain was that spaaaaaaace? and what sort of lights did you use? how many plants? sorry for all the ?;s lol..

hey racer, it was Kerala x Skunk #1 by Seedsman...... I used 500 watts of cfls (23 watters), and two 24 watt T5HO's.

I grew two out that were regular seeds...The other one was a male or it hermied...I can't remember which it was, lol.

lol, sound like me.. my first grow, for a month or two, i had thought i was growing out mk ultra, but i had dropped the seeds at the beginning of the grow and got the seeds mixed up, and i was really growing super skunk, lol..
pretty impressive yield for that amount of watts and them being cfl imvho..

i started with northern lights, easy to grow. but damn i didnt think cfl's could even do that, maybe i should add some around the darker spots, they don't produce lotsa heat and uh i forgot wat i was gonna say, lol but it was like really important. oh well, i should lay off the hash when on the net, but i know i'm not gonna. lol
