Planting some Mephistos tomorrow (haven't grown in a long time)

Greetings! So tomorrow I will be planting Mephisto Sour Strawberries into 5 gallon smart-pots with the Mephisto recommended super-soil mix. I have heard that most folks plant into wet soil and then don't typically water for a week while the sprouting happens. I was just wondering if this is true with auto-flowers that start in 5-gallons as well since I am in Colorado and it is super dry here. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! (I am starting them under LEDs and CFLs until my electricity gets fixed on Monday to where I can plug in the MH)

Thank you sir! I was under the impression that whenever possible you should avoid transplanting autoflowers, but I am not positive on this
