i have a grow spot out in the woods were i have two plants already(there is a clearing in the conopy).
i also have six seedlings that i am going to take out to the spot.i am going to take them to the spot in about a week or two.
i wonted to if it will be ok to plant them about a half foot from eachother in a sort or group as this way the site will remain more stealthy rather than having to clear a huge space out of the netles.
i thought with this method that in theory if they start showing sex wehn the get to about a foot or two i could chop down the males and then what females i have will have enough room to grow.
is this a good idea??

this is a picture of what i have to make a smal clearing in.

i would plant them at least 2 - 3 feet apart at least.. they can grow as wide as they do tall.

but if i do this then there is a big risk of them being seen becouse the space is not very big. will they not yeald at all if they are close together?
o yeah the strain is sweet purple if that helps?

I dont know how theyre gonna answer you but im anxious to know about this too guys because my setup is pretty much exactly the same. That pic even looks like my woods in jersey. Im hoping it wont matter much as long as they all get enough light.

these plants will kill eachother to survive and by planting too close you are seeting up a survival of the fittiest for them. if you are worried about them being seen then dont plant them, give them to FDD  . or plant in a staggard format. one over here, another over there, some people will plant them in a zig zag line. 1 plant every so many yards, but it sounds like you dont have that option. give them as much room as possible.

Fdd and sk3 offer excellent advice...if the plants are too close, they crowd each other and compete for sun; you will have low producing runts....2-3 foot minimum is prudent....
Good luck

i planted 2 plants of mine outdoors about 1 inch apart and was told theyll be fine that when they plant weed in large amounts on a field they plant them like 3 inches apart. and i planted outside lastyear the same way and they turned out fine...

you just don't need many plants for a big harvest. would you rather have 1 plant that gives you a pound, or 8 plants that give you 1 ounce each? you may want to think about sexing your plants indoors, then moving female clones outside. not sure what the phenotype of your plants will be, but you should allow 5 feet between plants......at least until you know what you are dealing with. next year can be much better for you.
