Plant size/grow style affecting quality

Had an interesting run this past fall... noticed a MAJOR difference in quality between the girls we flowered from seed, in a SOG, and the ladies we grew out with considerable veg time (6+ weeks) & using only light lst and a single topping. Anyone else seeing this phenomenon? Same exact strain, lighting, soil, feed, environment, etc. Only difference being grow style. Quality was obviously reduced in the SOG ladies, while the girls we just let go are fantastic. Strain was 1991 NL5 X Nevilles Haze. Thoughts?

Were the ones from seed possibly root bound?
Tap root from seed will get root bound much sooner than clones
