plant needs help!! plzz:/

ive had this sprout for about 3 weeks now and it seemed to be doing fine. up until i added some sand to the soil because it was garden soil which was used in a pot. so i added sand to loosen it up it was just some sand i found in my neighborhood. it started getting brown tips on the leaves! idk what this is should i be worried did the sand fuck my plant up?? or is it something else??:blsmoke:

Minor minor nute burn. The sand could have had something in it. I wouldn't just dump any ol' stuff on a seedling! Hell, a cat could have been using that sand as a littler box and you just poured straight urea, ammonia and nitrates onto the baby!

Not sure what you mean , did you remix the soil while the plant was in there? Not a good idea. Stressed but still looks ok, dont feed for a couple of weeks.

HAHA, Urea...some people like using words they have no concept of...the shit craCks me up sometimes! But anyways, you plant is just fine by the pix you've given us. Anyways, why did you use sand, especially sand from unsanitary areas!? Next time don't be so cheap, NEVER REUSE SOILS for MJ...its just not practical unless you're growing pot just for shits and giggles. Go out and buy some Miracle Gro Potting Mix if you are strapped for cash but if reusing old soil is your only option, please add perlite or vermiculite if your soil is clumpy and gets compacted, its just smarter that way.
by the way, i'm assuming you started from seed so....where the hell are the plant's cotydelons!?!?!?

WTF? whats wrong with using terms like urea? lets see if you any concept of what it is?

Urea or carbamide is an organic compound with the chemical formula (NH2)2CO. The molecule has two amine (-NH2) groups joined by a carbonyl (C=O) functional group.
Urea serves an important role in the metabolism of nitrogen-containing compounds by animals and is the main nitrogen-containing substance in the urine of mammals. It is solid, colourless, and odorless (although the ammonia which it gives off in the presence of water, including water vapor in the air, has a strong odor). It is highly soluble in water and non-toxic. Dissolved in water it is neither acidic nor alkaline. The body uses it in many processes, most notably nitrogen excretion. Urea is widely used in fertilizers as a convenient source of nitrogen. Urea is also an important raw material for the chemical industry. The synthesis of this organic compound by Friedrich Wöhler in 1828 from an inorganic precursor was an important milestone in the development of organic chemistry, as it showed for the first time that a molecule found in living organisms could be synthesized in the lab without biological starting materials.
The terms urea and carbamide are also used for a class of chemical compounds sharing the same functional group RR'N-CO-NRR', namely a carbonyl group attached to two organic amine residues. Examples include carbamide peroxide, allantoin, and hydantoin. Ureas are closely related to biurets and related in structure to amides, carbamates, carbodiimides, and thiocarbamides.

so for calicko's information urine contains lots of urea, a source of nitrogen (one of the main ones in miracle grow products) which must be broken down by beneficial bacteria prior to use by the plant. oh and that miracle grow potting soil or miracle grow in general is full of urea, just look at the ingredients, thats because miracle grow is designed for use in non-sterile grows, which means that you have fungi and bacteria working and living in the soil.

My point was that putting cat piss directly on a seedling likely would burn the ever-living piss out of it! Pun intended! :D

yeah dude your right i shouldnt just be throwin any old sand in there. and yeah i did grow from seed but the little bottom leaves (cotydelons) turned yellow and died off. i read that's normal. and then i went out to buy soil but got garden soil. which doesnt let oxygen to the roots and slows down growth so i decided to get some sand from my driveway lol! and throw it in there i mean the soil is nice and loose now but im worried it gave my bud plant those brown tips.:/ what do you think is it the sand or am i using bad water or is the garden soil killing me shit??

My real guess is that it is the soil. Garden soil can work, but it needs help. Lots of perlite or other stuff for drainage like hydroton, etc. Perlite, peat, vermiculite are common and cheap at Wal Mart.

Those tiny burns are really nothing to worry about. You will see some on many plants, either from a slight over feeding to transplanting from dead soil to hot soil. The plant should adjust. Don't overwater, don't stress it out. If it gets much worse then transplant if necessary and give it regular water.
