Plant Light Uptake and Greenhouse UV/IR Filters

Hey Guys,

I wanted to design a greenhouse facility for cannabis and I was wondering if you all knew whether or not Cannabis uptakes UV or IR light. I read in a few places that the plant can produce more THC to help protect it from UV light but this was backed up by no proof.

I am also looking to source UV and IR filters for the greenhouse panels so that the radiation heat transfer becomes minimal and is only from cannabis useable light.

I use UV in the last few weeks on my winter grows to ripen the trics further ...
and works so well that I don't need use the rest of the year due to the health effects on me and my crew and the ample red light up here

its a long held belief that plants produce the thc oils etc to protect themselves from the effects of excess UV at height and latitude
