Plant issue

I think we determined that the pot size was the issue. It's only a 2 gallon. So at this point, I'd just like to save what I can and buy a larger pot for the next plant.
Can I harvest, looking at the current state of the flower? Would it be a waste? Should I keep waiting or will the buds die along with the leaves?
If that's what you want to believe.. I think the changes you implemented exacerbated the problem..

there are plenty of us that grow in 1 gallon pots (some smaller) and don't have an issue making it through flowering so I doubt it has anything to do with pot size..

that said, we don't know what your plant looks like to answer whether you should/could wait of if you need to harvest

It'll be fine, let it finish! While some of the upper leaves are looking a bit ratty, they are as much turning purple as they are dying back.
Okay. I will wait.
To be honest, I trimmed away all of the dead leaves before taking this pic. There were a LOT of dead leaves.

Going forward, any advice? I thought it was pot size, but if that's not it, I'm stumped. This is my third plant and all the of them do amazingly well until I hit the last month of flowering, then they start to die off, rather dramatically and quickly. What the heck am I doing wrong?

I get the same thing, though not quite as dramatic. To some extent the fan leaves on most plants go into senescence (yellow and die) towards the end. It's probably a combination of things, like changing nute requirements during flowering, ph swings, a Calmag issue, and/or a build up of salts (if using synthetic/ nutes).

You guys rock!
So, for my next grow, what fertilizers should I be looking at? The ones I was using are "too hot".

how about just using less ?
I used the amount that was for "Daily watering". A quarter of a tsp in 2 liters of water. Then I was using about 1 liter, every 3rd day and watering with straight water, in between, when needed. Does that sound like too much? Should I be using less?

Go for some organic nutes, and some mycorrhizal fungi, that will help break down the organic nutes into a form usable by the plants. There are no flushing issues with organic nutes, as oppossed to synthetic nutes. Invest in a PH pen and a PPM/EC pen. I don't know what water source you're using, but if it's municipal there should be a breakdown of whats in the water (Ca, Mg, Iron, Boron, manganese, etc.) on line, by looking at that you should be able to tell if you need to add calmag, or if the base water contains enough that you don't have to. Lastly, pick a grow media type (Coco/hydro, or soil), don't mix them, that's how you can end up with "Frankensoil"! Do not overfeed!!!!!

The soil I bought was "mycorrhizal Pro Mix". It was recommended here. I mixed in a few handfulls of clay balls, just for drainage.
The water we have here is fantastic (or supposed to be. They claim it's the best in the province. -I'm in Canada-).. PH is around 7 to 7.5. I have a TDS meter but haven't really used it much as I was just going by the directions on the fertilizer.
I will certainly look into organic nutes for my next grow. Any that you'd recommend?

Really don't know what's available in Canada, Epoma is one that comes to mind, but there are many. Fantastic water to drink can be different than fantastic water for plants, 7.5 ph is bit high.

I know it's a HUGE shot in the dark but, looking at the pics, does it seem like over fertilizing is the issue? Moving into my 4th grow, I'd really like to have a few things to try to keep this from happening...

I would say, and it’s tough just looking at pictures, that it got a bit to much N at some point, and possibly P&K too, diagnosis is difficult because deficiencies and toxicities of P & K are very similar looking!

Mega crop is a good one available up in Canada. Never go by the nutrient manufacturers recommendations. Start low and work up to what the plants like. Most times if you follow the directions you will burn your plants. I always start at 1/3-1/4 strength and work up from there. You should be able to get most of the market standard nutrients up there I would think anyway. If you’re running DTW coco or pro mix I like to use general hydroponics flora nova bloom from start to finish because it’s super easy to use. Is it the best no is it the cheapest no but it’s a single bottle complete nutrient that works really well. You will get it all dialed in as you learn

Well, once again you guys have been amazing! I'm hoping that, with all the stuff I'm learning here, my 4th grow will finally be the perfect one!
That’s the important part your learning and every grow should go much smoother the more you learn. But sometimes issues happen but you will know how to deal with them as they come. Just remember don’t beat your self up over any mistakes it’s all been done before and will be done again lol
