plant in trouble

ok so it's about a month old, in a 1 1/2 months old ina 1 gallon container.

all leaves are curling upward, yellow on the very tips but brown on the whole leaf other than the tip. the brown seems to start around the edges and moves in twoard the center.

they are in mirale grow soil, and under a 400 W MH. they have a small fan blowing on them and are about 2 feet from the light. 70-78 degrees would be the temp range and i am careful not to over water but the soil is moist from the last watering.

i may be able to get a pic up tonight but the plant is truly pathetic looking and in size.

any ideas?

try putting the light closer....wat mg are you using I use moisture control

couldnt tell you what the pH is as i dont have a reader yet... i have been dumb enough to only water them with tap water... but you would think that the other plants would show similar conditions... the MG is the all purpose potting soil

BTW use distilled or spring water the chemicals in tap aren't goin to kill it but the ph isn't perfect

I bet your plants don't like miracle grow. Check your water and soil PH, I think I've seen what you're talking about before.

I have issues with MG when I can't keep the humidity high enough or night temps get too cold. You might wanna consider transplanting to a bigger container.

i will transplant, and use spring water for now on. the only other plant that has an issue is on 2 separate leaves there is a black dot about a 1/4 inch in a circle

I can't vouch for the quality of your tap water, but I should have also added that I get issues when I use R/O water with uber-low EC. You'd do best to get a faucet mounted filter for the tap and run with that.
