Plan to build PC Grow Case and grow

Okay guys, nice forum here :)

I need some advice as to whether I am doing the right things in order to achieve my weed goal.

Basicly the PC case I am buying is completely empty.
The dimensions of the case are
approximately 67cm high, 21.5cm wide and 45cm deep, which should give me enough room for a couple of plants to grow.

The components I would like for this grow box (question marks mean I'm not entirely sure):

2 Fans (preferably quiet)? (For sucking air in or out??)

Silver Mylar Lining
1 or 2 vents to let the air out and ventilate

4 26w 2700k CFL bulbs?
A wire mesh shelf that can be adjusted, used so that the plants don't overgrow and a place to put the plants to reach higher to the light source.

Some nice features I would like but I am not sure where to buy:

Thermometer to set inside the case
Fans speed resistor switch/knob
Lock for the Case's door

Timer for the Bulbs
De-oderizer

Carbon Filter for the fans

As for the plants pots I'm not sure what to go for.

I am considering to get G13 Haze seeds, I know these are expensive for my first grow but I hope to get this right.

The reason why I want this strain is because:

80% Sativa
Low height growth (50-100cm)
Looks great, won cannabis cup
70 - 80 day grow time!

My perfect specs, but will the PC box be perfect for it?

Can anyone suggest a cheap way I can go about this?
I know someone who will connect all the components inside the case together for me, it's just finding the right ones which is the problem.

My main questions are:

Where can I buy these components?
Have I chosen the right seeds to buy?
What soil/ plant pots/ growing system should I use (fairly cheap)?

Thanks so much, hope people can answer some of these questions! Feel free to suggest alternatives to my plan!

Hmm thanks!

But I would really like some straight up answers, I have looked through countless threads but I need some advice specific to what I have asked! :bigjoint:

67cm high, 21.5cm wide and 45cm deep, should be plenty of space if you LST or SCROG.

As for components, it really depends on where you live.

You can easily use a couple of 80mm or 120mm quiet PC fans in your system, which are readily available at most computer stores.

Reflective sheeting can be purchased from most hydroponic stores. Here is a link to the stuff I currently use:

For venting you could use passive intakes but it is best to place your fans at the intake and outlet in your case.

4 x 26w 2700k CFL bulbs if they fit will work great although if you can get some at a higher wattage it would help, also you would benefit from more blue spectrum during the vegetative stage; so daylight or full spectrum CFL would be perfect.

An ajustable wire mesh shelf , can be made out of many things. Chicken wire with a 1 inch spacing should do the job.

Thermometer to set inside the case

Try your local garden store, they are easy to find.

Fans speed resistor switch/knob

Not sure on this one but a computer supply store would be most likely to stock these.

Lock for the Case's door

Depends on the type of door, I use a G4 case so a standard padlock can be used.

Timer for the Bulbs

Readily available from a wide range of stores, and can be inexpensive.

De-oderizer

Depends what exactly you mean by this, there are ion generators and such but really a carbon filter should do the job.

Carbon Filter for the fans

If you don't mind an external filter you could use the model I purchased:

You could also try and build a smaller internal filter as they are fairly simple and inexpensive to construct.

When it comes to plant pots it depends on the strain and also how tall you want the plant to grow as anything less than the seedbank reccomend will result in smaller plants, but also smaller yields.

I am considering to get G13 Haze seeds

Well I am no expert but sativa strains like to grow tall, indica are short and bushy; as are ruderalis based strains.

Can anyone suggest a cheap way I can go about this?

As I have already said, see what others have done. Learn from there triumphs and mistakes so that you don't repeat them or waste money.
