Hey, i was wondering if it is okay to use plain water to lets say fill up 75% capacity or even 100% and then water with a nutrient enriched water until runoff?
Because it would save me time from having to mix up a nutrient solution for 4 gallons as i use a 1 gallon jug so i need to mix the solution 4 times. Also to save money if it is not needed.Out of curiosity, why do you want to do that?
It sounds like a recipe for potentially starving your plants! But it might work.Because it would save me time from having to mix up a nutrient solution for 4 gallons as i use a 1 gallon jug so i need to mix the solution 4 times. Also to save money if it is not needed.
So are you saying it isn’t a good idea? Why not? Does the plain water soak into the medium and the nutrient enriched water pours right through? If that is the case why does watering till runoff remove the salts? It’s possible to survive a shotgun in the mouth. Doesn’t mean it’s a good idea
Yea might be a good idea to just get a bigger bucket. Was hoping i could save some money on nutes. It sounds like a recipe for potentially starving your plants! But it might work.
5 gallon buckets are pretty darn cheap. Might solve everything.
Good luck!
But Dude, they're like five dollars! If you are worried about spending money to buy a 5 gallon bucket, growing this plant may not be for you.
A real kronic king would have someone mixing their solutions for them, not try to get buy with a 1 gal bucket vs a 5 gal bucket.
It’s not the 5 gallon bucket I was also trying to save money by using less nutes but if i need to spend the money it is what it is. I was growing organic and will probably go back after this run. This is my first time growing with synthetic nutrients and thought it might work.If you are worried about spending money to buy a 5 gallon bucket, growing this plant may not be for you.
It’s a risky move for the cost of a bucket. At best you’ll get uneven distribution of nutes. At worst you’ll get concentrated hotspots of nutes on your roots and lock out.So are you saying it isn’t a good idea? Why not? A king doesn't worry about the skrilla. It’s not the 5 gallon bucket I was also trying to save money by using less nutes but if i need to spend the money it is what it is. Holy shit! But Dude, they're like five dollars!
thanks for the input. Looks like i will have to go and get a bucket than. It’s a risky move for the cost of a bucket. At best you’ll get uneven distribution of nutes. At worst you’ll get concentrated hotspots of nutes on your roots and lock out.
Not after i send my people to pillage your land.A king doesn't worry about the skrilla.
Idk what you're using, but I spent $120 on 2 bags of Jacks 15 lbs part A and B, and I have enough nutrients to last me 5 years at least. It’s not the 5 gallon bucket I was also trying to save money by using less nutes but if i need to spend the money it is what it is. Well you'd be saturating the medium with plain water and then adding nutrients. So are you saying it isn’t a good idea? Why not? Does the plain water soak into the medium and the nutrient enriched water pours right through? If that is the case why does watering till runoff remove the salts?
I am not worried about them, they'll be ill equipped. Not after i send my people to pillage your land.
masterblend is like 20$ for 1000LIt’s not the 5 gallon bucket I was also trying to save money by using less nutes but if i need to spend the money it is what it is.
