pistills and no buds

on one of my plants the pistills or geting long and its starting to grow pistills every where on the plant my question is how long will it take for it to bud? and my other question is how many weeks will it take for it to be done?

Give it time. What strain? Generally it will take 8-10 weeks before it is ready.

The buds grow from the base of the pistils. How long this takes is entirely strain-dependent, as is the timing until they are done.

Good question... Each strain varies in flower time. Buds should chunk up close to the end, if the strain permits... Some strains are just bunk...

how long does indicas take and how long sativas take?

It depends, usually between 8-12 weeks. Sativa's take the longest. Nevertheless, if you are growing outdoors you want to be chopping in mid October, maybe later. If you are growing indoors, 12/12 for 8-12 weeks. You want fat buds remember so dont be tempted to chop sooner than when they are ready. You would have waited all that time after all. Dont forget to flush.
