Is pink lady a new cross? Cus when you google "pink lady cannabis" an image from the end of 2009 (there are also other pink ladies from earlier in 2009) pops up:

pinklady.jpg

Just insane... the leaves are red!!!

I'm guessing it's not the same.. any idea what are the genetics?

That plant looks dope, but not what I have. This is black cherry soda x space queen. Got them handed to me by the man himself to test.

yea that's what I thought. but if he's going to call it Pink Lady apparently there's already a strain out there with this name that I wish I knew the genetics of.

Probably half purple strain.

I've seen that thread on rollitup, but no one knows the genetics of Black Cherry Soda or the Pink Lady that existed before Subcool created this new Pink Lady.

though IMO it looks like blackberry or some cross of it:

I came across this by accident, in a post by Subcool about Breeding & Sputnik 1.0.
In it you find the words "pink" and "soda" used by Subcool, so perhaps "Black Cherry Soda" is actually a secret TGA cross?

Sputnik 1.0
Once we had the Black Russian X Apollo-13 cross complete we gave it a name. Sputnik seemed like a logical selection and I think you can see we were beyond successful. We grew-out several seeds and we found that basically, we get two different phenotypes. The first is an eye-candy lady that you see so much of, starting with pink calyx and just oozing resin; we knew instantly we had achieved our desired results. Smelling like Blackberry jam and swelling to a wonderful large cola-covered-THC-factory. I will never tire of photographing this girl. At 4 weeks the pink stared changing to a magenta color and even the trichomes took on a pink to purple coloring. This particular phenotype, we gave the name Pinky. The other phenotype (Whitey) was a surprise to me and also a valuable learning experience! Whitey exhibited no purple coloring in fact the plant was ultra-white and during flowering, she almost smelled like a “blue cream soda”. As the plant matured it took on a weird pungent smell and before it cured out a bit, MzJill and I both thought it smelled pretty foul. After about two weeks of curing I decided to give it another chance and it knocked my socks off. A grower friend, who sampled it, said it almost gave her visuals. So we knew the cross had potential. Now how to improve on her again?
Okay I found pictures of Sputnik 1.0. How come Subcool is acting like BCS is the first time he's ever seen pink buds when Sputnik 1.0 already had pink buds? I'm guessing he's just trying to keep the lineage secret during the breeding process.

i wouldn't blame him if that were the case. but i wondered the same thing as i was looking at this chart of TGA genetics.

Looks like a cutting of Cream Sodica , A famous BC strain that was bred by Breeder Steve of Spice of life . Pink lady have any cream sodica genetics in it, almost seems that it might.
