I've actually never had a problem using my current method before, but burned through 30 dollars worth of genetics trying the rockwool method. Different strokes I guess... If all this has taught me anything, it's that I need to get a decent mother-plant in a veg tent to cut clones from.

mothers are handy but cloning from a fem seed plant dont always work out so buy some regular seeds if you are planning this

sorry if I scared you BikesNBlunts420 lol :) I just mean: Leave the seed alone - inside the baggie - inside the Kitchen Towel (or tissue paper) - until you see roots... and then wait... until you see more roots... and wait until finally the leaves of the seedling begin to emerge from the seedcasing... I know this seems wierd... but its really much easier and faster to germ this way - just leave it alone until you see leaves... The Weed Seed doesn't mind this process in fact it is safer and less traumatizing for it... :) Very gently pluck it out of the Kitchen Towel and bury root in the ground (Gently) and leave the leaves above ground.... now you know... where your seed is! you know ... it is alive!... and it is already Happy and Ready to Grow! :)

That makes a whole bunch of sense as currently, I only have a vague approximation of where I buried my seed and I have no idea how the lil gal is doing (I am assuming she is a she until other evidence appears. I just want her to break soil RIGHT NOW so I can be like "ooh, this is my baby marijuana plant" and not "this is my bucket of dirt in a closet, I assure you it's a plant."

Hey. So my seed still has not broken soil. Does anybody know a way I could check to see if it is still alive? Should I start germination on a different seed? I just want shit to start growing.
P.s. I am ordering my Blackstar 240w on Saturday. Stoked.

good luck with the blackstar umm you could have a poke around the soil to she if shes growing or not if shes dead maybe you should germ another but be careful she might be a slow starter and will you be entering my blackstar 240w competition?

OKAY! SO! I found her/it! I dug deep, very gently, and waaay down, I found a white stem with yellow cotyledons pressed against the stem. I couldn't get it to show up on camera, though. Either way, should i bury it again and let her grow up to the surface, or should i remove a couple inches of soil and let her have some light? For now, I loosely covered her in an inch of soil to keep her safe but not suffocate her.

PLEASE ANSWER BECAUSE I WANT TO SAVE MY BABY

I vote you leave her alone and let nature take it's course. Anyone second that motion?

I'm not trying to be mean but you gotta get some patience and let your plant be a plant. It needs time to do it's thing. Don't love it to death. Relax, breathe, check your humidity and temps, make sure that fan isn't blowing on the pot, then go buy some perlite while your plant does what it does best.

That's my .02 cents. Good luck.

I'm ordering my blackstar tomorrow. As far as my bean, I made an executive decision to expose it to light and let it sit all weekend while I go away. If it is alive on sunday, sweet. If it isn't I'm gonna pop a CH9 Humboldt bean and get to work on a non Autoflower.
If I do need to pop another seed, I'm most DEFINITELY going to be in the Blackstar Competition as I will be using it from start to finish.

I start my seeds down about a half inch in my soil in a Dixie cup. Usually by 5 days theyre out of the soil
