Pine Trees gotta ?

I have been wanting to plant new trees by my cabin and was wondering if i can take clones from a pine tree and grow it threw this year outdoors ....been having problems with avalanches hahaha trying to get more trees.... i know good pines trees are 100's of years old but shit it will be a start i know they all wont make it threw the winter to next year but i will start doing this every year hoping to make somthing happen with out going out and buying 6-9 foot tall trees from a garden.

You can try layering. I don't know if it works on pine but it's worth a shot. It's best done in spring. There are 2 ways you can do it.

You can pull a branch down where it's touching the ground at a joint and put something on it to hold it down. After about 2 months there should be roots.

Or ( I did this on my willow tree and it worked good.)

You can pick a branch and cut into the branch, put a pebble or something to keep the cuts opened. Apply rooting hormone to the cuts and then wrap with damp peat moss then wrap that up in saran warp (couple of layers to keep moisture in) and seal the ends really good with duct tape. In about 6 weeks you should see roots through the saran, then you can remove the branch and plant it, but baby it good the first year.
