My new little light, 3 cxb3070's in 3000k running on a meanwell. There are two pic fans on the top side(not visible) with of fan ducting to vent out of my tent. This is going in a 2.5w x 1.5D x 3' tall grow tent. Going to have some height issues but I'm going to try anyways. Watching Growmau5 videos got me into making a diy.
What do you all think?

I have a dimmible driver so if they get to close and burn I can turn it down, although that would be in flowering which would be a major loss for harvest.
Also how do I like others posts? Am I missing something?

I used ac infinity fans, they are linked together and have a build in speed controller(low, med and high), then used 80mm pc fan ducting to vent out. One in one out incase one dies I end up with with a backup fan. I used the 4.850 heat sink from heat sink USA. The back is a chunk of C-channel I had around. The driver is a meanwell HLG-185h-c1050b(I think if I can remeber right)

I welded some end plates to the channel, then marked with a sharpie places to put 5-40 screws to hold the 2 together. I learned a lot on this build, like how hard it is to bend the wire into the conecters after coming threw the heat sink. And I found this forum the growmau5's videos about his jaw dropping setups.

I made these a couple months ago, complete with tape holding fans into a fence post hung with paracord. Vero29s 6x 2700k 80cri, 3x 3500k 80cri run by 3x mean well hlg 240h 2100c. Using aavid heatsinks and blowing alot of air across them them is probably not that efficient but it seems to be working.

Parts sourced from home depot, future electronics, mouser and parts express.

In retrospect, I would spend more on heatsinks and less on fans.

Hey y'all! Here are some pics of my light, finished and hung. Just started my first grow under this light and I am already really impressed. According to the light meter in my camera, it is putting out about the same amount of light as my old (T5) setup, at about 22% of the wattage, and I don't even have this baby turned up past about 30%.

Anybody have some good suggestions for an affordable quantum meter? I was looking at an Apogee, but the prices on here are a bit high for what I really want to pay.

The rest of the pictures for this build are accessible through the link in my sig.

Thank you, Rollitup!

I tried to like hell to source these locally, but in the end had to order them from a seller on eBay. They are exactly what I wanted for my build, and the shiny stainless steel looks sharp. When I bought them they were about $8 USD for four. I just checked and they are now selling them four for $14 USD.
