We do have a resident skunk in the hood. Saw it last night. Cute little bugger. Waddles around almost sloth-like. Slow mover.
You must have a different breed of skunk than we do... one of them buggers sprayed my dog in the face ran like a
rabbit,' went under my house got in between the floor and a bathtub and sprayed again.... this was at 5 AM....
I really don't see em quite as fondly as you do.. Ah, the joys of country living.. fuck Cubs just lost.. they've got it!!

Yup their all cute and waddle around till you piss them off lol. Was at a trailer park this summer and there were all these skunks walking around at night while we were at the fire. They would walk right up and beg for food all night long and never spray :).

Well not sure if it's due to the food, or if they'd have done it on their own but the buds are definitely fattening up. They're quite stiff/dense when squeezed. The hairs aren't really curling up all that much other than the very tops. Chopped another 30 or so leaves off today. Just decided that any leaves that look abnormal would go. Any yellowing beginning or bug eaten parts I chopped. I do believe most of the shrub can be harvested successfully at this point. Most if the cola things are about 2.5" in diameter. I'm betting they would double in size had I left it til December 1st - which now looks like the forecast for first sub 30° freeze. I think I will still harvest 11/11 - 11/15 though. Thinking about doing it in two phases. Half that gets a lot of sun and is mature first, then wait for the rest.

Picked up these non-stick coated sheers. I belive they will do the job well. 20161030_135003.jpg20161030_123726.jpg20161030_123739.jpg

I would wait as long as possible and one or two days of sub zero will not kill it. But two weeks will add lots so you should be good. I finished my last plant on Friday and a tad north of you I think :). I was lucky this year and will not pick a long strain again lol. Very nice looking plant btw, hope its as good as it looks :).

I have no doubts it would double in size and weight over the next three weeks.

Which is why I'm so so soooo bummed I had a security breach and need to harvest now. Caught someone up the neighbors property hanging his head over the fence staring straight at it for a good five minutes. Saw him from the window. This means someone must have told him to look I'm guessing. Was definitely not right. I watched him go back to his car down the block.

Started taking it down an hour ago. Man you all weren't kidding, it's not really that I'm fatigued but it's so monotonous. Fucking sucks.

Sorry to hear that Mike. That sucks. Stinking narcs. It's a freaking plant. Needs to be legal to grow a plant in your own yard.

sorry to hear about that Mike, but better safe than sorry.
longer would have been better, but not if someone either came back in the night and stole it, or turned you in for it.
i'd keep and smoke the good sized buds and take all the popcorn and trim to make dry ice hash with.
let us know how its going

Hey all. I haven't a clue who the dude was. No news since. Sorry for the delay in getting on here - Halloween is a big deal in the neighborhood here so been busy as hell.

So yeah I chopped the top three feet off. Wanted to do more but ran outta time last night. Wanted to do more today but had zero time so it's still out there sittin pretty. Going to try and get another three feet down tomorrow afternoon.

Thinking about leaving the bottom 4-5 feet to ripen up. Not sure yet what to do. I'd rather it was stolen than the alternative. Sucks ass. The nervous paranoia is getting old quick.

hey, don't wanna thread jack, but i told BD i'd try the boil and report back. i did it to the white widow. took all the sun leaves off, poured 6 gallons of water through it that had been boiling 2 or 3 minuted before. let it sit 4 days. hung it to dry 3 days ago. picked a couple of popcorn buds off that were drying faster than the big buds and tried it. nice smooth, tasty smoke, like it had been cured at least a week already. i'll let you know how the bigger buds are in a few more days

My apologies!

I'll have a good amount of pics soon. Took down top 6' of the tree. Just finished trimming and hanging it. A daily smoker bud helped me a little. Just by looking at the amount at the time he said I had more than 5 ounces hanging. I've trimmed and hung at least triple that additional. I'd say I've harvested about 25% of the total. Most of what was up top was small shit. Also have a xerox box full of those baby buds. All the big ones are still out there. Probably a good 20+ large colas. Going to try and finish tomorrow.
