Yellow leaf tips turn to dead leaf tips, discoloration (except veins), microscopic yellow spots, stunted growth, those are just a few of my problems The pics posted are from last night. Please read this whole post, I'm tired of being asked the same questions I answer in this first post. I have 2 AK48 in a 3 gal DWC. Air temp is 75-85, ph is 5.5-6.0 water temp is 65-70 They are 12 days old rom dry seed and they have slowed their growth to a stand still and now they are dying slowly. I was usung 3part Gen HP at seedling strength and I cut it down to half strength 12 hours ago, cut off the dead tips and I got home from work today and they are worse than ever. On one plant the leaves have green ass veins but the leaves themselves are losing color (turning almost whiteish yellow/green) in spots. The other plant has a few tiny yellow sots and it was fried by the lights last week. Some growth still looks okay but I think the bad shit is spreading fast. I just need to know what else may cause this besides nuteburn???

How big of an air pump are you using? What type/strength of lights, how far away? Are you using R/O water if so you need some cal/mag.

Not necessarily. Every strain and plant is different. It looks like nute burn and I am sticking with that.
i agree with shamegame. and you definitely shouldnt be using 1/2...maybe 1/4 strength...but damn their seedlings...let them grow up a little bit!!!

shamegame is right. you got some strains who dont even like nutes and if they do, its very light feedings

They are like a dot from a pen and there are on;y a few(4 or5) on one of the plants. The plant was severely burned by the light a few days ago, and most of the spots are on what is left of the burnt leaves, but one or two are on healthy looking leaves, thats the only thing different between the other plant and this one is it was burned otherwise they are in the same circumstances at all times. A hotspot used to build up over the plant before I made some adjustments...

Oh okay, I will dump the res, do u think I should use any nutes at all. Gen HP has a chart on the bottle for seedlings it says use 1/4tsp per gal. It says use 3tsp for vegetative, I thought when people said use half strength at most they meant half strength of the Veg stage nutes, my bad! Thanks a lot guys. I hope I don't have the fucking mites already. I will have to get a magnifying glass on that girl and see...

I agree it does look like it so y should I try and fool myself into something else. I appreciate the help. One more quick question, I only have 5cfl26watt daylights in a 3foot cubed grow box, I was spraying them down with a water bottle and then putting them right under light, for some reason I thought I should do that, could that be y they are burnt? I used the same strength nutes to sprout them as I was using when they burned(1/4 teaspoon per gal of each part) and they were fine unty il I put them into the DWC,

well you say its not nute burn and at this size you shouldnt be using any nutes at all so unless your using nutes gonna need some more info as it shows as nute burn but you say its not so your not using nutes correct? Also you not using HID lights on these yet right as thats too much for these babies still. Should be a simple 4 foot shop light florescent lighting..ps I just saw you saidf you mist these thats another reason they might be burned as you dont wanna mist them and at this point 1 cfl about 6 inches away is enough till they get going

I figured it is nuteburn after all, and maybe a combination of misting. Just goes to show you can read as many books as u want but until u do it you don't know shit! I thought I could use a little but i guess I was wrong. I will put them in just R/O water right now. 1 cfl is all I need, damn I have really been fucking these things up. That is why I did this practice cfl grow before I throw 15 plants under my 1000watt HPS and not to mention I can only grow in a closet right now. Come mid april I will have a whole bedroom, I trust u filthy, I have seen some of your grows,

Its all about learning and nothing like a hands on trial to get yourself going. Youll have it going good Im sure quickly

Well said. You can read all you want, but it's the experience that gives you confidence and makes for a good grower. You need to get your hands dirty and experience the problems that come up. Just like anything else.

Good luck.:peace:

Nutes are outta there and the lights are cut down to 1 per plant instead of three. and I raised my lights a bit. I guess my impatience is going to be a battle in its self. Thanks to all who posted in this thread especially shamegame and filthy!
