Pics, nut. burn?

Here are some pictures of my plant, and I think it may have nut. burn but I'm really new so I don't know much. Only the lower leaves seem to be really affected, the top looks pretty good to me. Also, it's getting too tall for my grow area, can I bind the top down to the pot similar to a SOG set up? Would that not be recommended or what? Thanks for all the help so far.

That could be a definite possibility, I've tried to be stringent about watering because of all the talk here about newbies overwatering but who knows. I'm feeding it Pure Blend Metabolic Growth Formula that I got from the hydro store, I just bumped it up to full strength and I have to admit I'm not checking the pH because I haven't gotten around to getting a pH meter (I know it's a bad excuse). So should I cut back on the watering? I know checking the pH is going to be in the reply too...

I just got a ph kit today. Have never checked the ph before. I know I am a terrrible person.

You aren't the only one who doesn't check your ph. Found out that your tap water is too high. The kit I got has ph down and up so you can adjust your water to the right level.

Gee maybe my results will be a little better now!

Hey BOB...

Yeah what they said.. LOL

It does look like over watering and very very close to NUTE burn.. When leaves become very very dark green.. it often means that you are getting close to NUTE burn.. the next step will be brown tips on the leaves..

WATER without nutes at 6.5 - 6.8 PH for the next 2 waterings..

You should also consider transplanting into 3 gallon container.. LOOKS LIKE you have nice gentics..

cheers

Okay thanks so far, so I'm going to go w/o nutes for two more, then I have purchased Fox Farms Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom, do I add them both to the watering at the recommended (half to start) strength? For example if each recommends 4tsp's per gallon do I add 4 tsp of each to the gallon, or two of each since I am adding two different nutrients? Thanks

Do you have the fox farm feeding schedule?

If so mix each ingredient in a seperate glass of water and add it too your dirt or resevoir.

You use all nutrients it says for that week on that feeding day

You might wanna go a little less than the recommended dosage
