Nodes should be alternating before you induce flowering, the only way to sex is to bring out the flowers with a 12/12 light cycle. Pistols gooood... balls baaad. Try covering one of the lower branches with a paper bag for 12 hours a day and in about a week you can tell (on the covered branch)... this way you can see its sex sooner and continue the vegetative growth on the rest of the plant. That is unless the nodes are alternating then just switch to the 12/12 cycle

Nodes should be alternating before you induce flowering,
This is PRETTY DARN SOUND ADVICE!! : )

especially when starting from seed..

when you start with a clone things CHANGE and you can really induce flowering whenever you want (preferably after the clone has legs {roots})..

The factors would include
1. Space
2. Light (wattage)
3. Gentics
4. Time

and the list goes on and on..

Alternating "branches".... as opposed to symetrical branches...

Alternating nodes are one of the signs that your plant is maturing. Then you will have secondary growth and then alternating nodes on your secondary growth.. etc.

Are you confused NOW..
