Pick& Mix-Any cons?

Greetings!

I have been wondering what the pros and cons of using the "pick and mix" feature on Attitude's website? For example, Is there any difference between ordering a "pick and mix" White Label White Widow as opposed to a 5 pack of seeds?

Also, since I can only order one seed using the P&M feature, if I change the quantity will I get the amount of seeds I change the quantity to?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I just don't want anything to go wrong with this order.

Thanks for reading,

yah, if you go into the pick and mix section at the tude, and you change the amount from one to say 7, you'd get seven single seeds instead of when you do it for full packs and get 7 packs of ten or five or however many are in the packs you picked.. say that five times fast, lol..
and the only downside to the pick and mix option imo is that you're only getting 1 or 2 or 3 seeds to pick from instead of when you buy a whole pack and you'd get 10 plants to choose from...
if you're buying regular seeds, and you only get one or two, you'd have to worry about the very good possibility that one or both of them could be males and you'd wasted all of that time and money only to get males.. if you had a full pack instead, and got two males from your first two attempts, while it does suck, all you'd have to do is go back into the pack and pick a couple of more beans and try again..
the same thing about getting all males could also be said about possible phenotypes as well.. say you've only got two seeds, one ends up being a male and the other female, but now you're stuck with what you have in the pheno dpt, and the one that you have may not be the most desirable of the bunch.. again, if you had more seeds, and got a few females, you could then pick out the one that was say bigger, or smelled better, looked better, was taller, shorter, what have you.. this is pretty much what phenotype means..
but if you've only got a limited amount of cash and want to sample as many different strains at one time as you can, pick and mix is a great option as it allows you to buy as many seeds of as many different strains as you'd like..
also, say you bought a whole 10 pack of beans, crack and grew lets just say 2 of them, both turn out to be females, and you take them all the way to harvest and you go to smoke them, and it's like the biggest butt bud you've ever had.. whatever that is, no potency, crappy yields, it tastes like poo.. you don't like the effects of it.. what ever... now, if you bought a whole pack of them, you'd now be stuck with however many seeds that you didn't crack to begin with.. wtf are you going to do with them now?? not much, lol...
so, i'd think that about sums up the pros and cons of the pick and mix section... you can also buy singles at the single seed centre.. they have a much larger mix of strains than you can get from the tude in singles, and i've personally used them and was happy with the experience..

Single seed centre is cool if you're there to buy singles... 1-2-3 or so at most from each strain, cuz they price the seed at the exact fraction of the number of seeds.... For example... If 1 seed costs you 10.00.... 5 will cost you 50.... 10 will cost you 100.... There is no discount as where at attitude you may get those same 10 seeds for 80 bucks or so.... But attitude might sell the singles of that seed for 12 bucks each.... So it's better to go with SSC over Attitude If you want to buy 3 or so since you will save 2 bucks per seed, but Attitude has the better Bulk deal....

An other cool thing about SSC is that they carry alot more Reg strains, as where attitude only carries TGA, and Cali Connection for their Single Seed sales..(Pick-n-Mix)....... I for one like it, cuz I dont believe I need 10 seeds when I'm more than likely just gonna pop 3-5 (regs) or 2-3 (Fem)...... But that's Just me... As I dont grow just 1 strain at a time... And If I dont find that got to have pheno out of those 3 I popped, than it's all good.... I might get it from the OTHER strain which I planted 3 from also..... It's all about odds, and everything will even itself out at the end, and you'll be happy with what you got, and you'll still be able to keep your favorites out of the bunch and try at a certain again in the future...... I like variety...

For Example...... TGA strains go for $96 a 10 pack..... While his single seeds cost $10........ Lets just round things off.... for $4 more bucks, wouldnt you rather try 3 of his strains (4 of your most wanted 3 of this and 3 of that..) and enjoy 3 completely different strains than just 1...... Again... It's all odds... .......

Even with other seed companies like Cali Conn..... I'll rather pay 100 bucks for 8 seeds of 2 different strains, than 100 for 10 seeds of the same strain........ But that's just me.... Some people like the collective pretty packets...lol... i just want the seeds>plants>buds

^^^ summed up very well in the posts above ^^^

I have read other people who say that when you buy pick and mix you get the bunk seeds ie. odd sizes etc, which I don't believe, but does anyone know the process for pick and mix? Do the banks open the breeder packs for singles or do the breeders send the banks their breeder packs plus a package of single seeds to use?

I recently returned an order to attitude because they sent me 5 smashed seeds.... Most likely the carrier's fault, but yea.... I got a single Headband so I'd have 2, as I want to grow them off in the near future..... and other's that got smashed was a Tahoe Og, Qrazy Train, Amnesia freebie and one that wasnt SMASHED, but had a crack on it..... Was also a freebie they actually owed me from a previous order, and it arrived cracked also.....Well, it was a Syrup Auto from Buddah Seeds......

When they finally got my letter in the mail with my returned seeds, they emailed me, and they said they would tell me when it was gonna ship, as they didnt have singles of the headband, and Singles from the Qrazy Train....... I told her I had been wanting the Headband forever and stuff, and that I would take any other TGA strain if Qrazy Train was not available, but that I really wanted the headband.... Told them that I would probably not even be happy if they were to give me their highest priced single (Which I think is Sensi Seed's Northern Lights #5).......But then later on she emailed me, and said she opened a breeders pack just for me.... Both of Headband, and QT...... Original Amnesia was shown as out of stock also, so I dont know what they replaced it with......... and for the trouble, before all of this, they said that if i just send them the damaged goods back, that they would replace them, plus throw in a few extra seeds for the troubles(Cuz at first I didnt want to mail it back, was asking why isnt the picture i send them proof enough?.... but they wouldnt budge... It's not like if they were gonna run tests, and make sure they were really the seeds sent, and not just replaced with some bagseeds or somerthing..... anyways... pointless, but i did it... sent them back)........My free extra seeds was that she gave me the TGA promo, and a free UFO....(which at the time was a Blue Widow.... I hope it's a blue widow...lol)...... I was so excited when she told me..... Hope I get males out of these....... if i dont, well still win/win...

She said there were no replacements, so that the ones that were supposed to be given to me were the ones I got..... Which led me to wonder what they gave me instead of the Original Amnesia, since it was completely sold out... maybe they gave me a Soma seeds Amnesia Haze :)...... They better not fuck around and have low quality seeds for pick n mix.... I have gotten some that look funky, and end up not even germing, and some that grow runts, so I really dont know..... But over all, I have had around 80% success with pick n mix fem seeds

I dont do pick and mix. feminized seems safest and im turned off by anything feminized.

That's why you do Single Seed Centre...... They carry regs as singles, as attitude just does it for those 2 i mentioned........ But thing that sucks about SSC, it that they dont have alot of breeders that Attitude has
