Pick Early Bud = Mini Colas? Tried it.

Noticed that where I had early picked bud off, that "mini colas" about an index finger long were produced 80% of the time.

Will post pics that show cut wound and healing around it is a mini cola.

Please do that would be awesome to see!

Actually I harvested the plant but I left the colas all intact, but took most of the mini branches off. I'll take a look if I left them on.

how early you pick it off before you harvested the entire plant?

My friend usually clips the buds as they mature, letting the smaller ones grow up and change colors. He says he gets a lot of extra quality smoke out of those smaller imature buds and does not let the big cola's get over ripe waiting for the smaller ones to mature. It works for him!

Takes about a week or so after picking a bud for a mini cola to form.

FUCK, rly shouldnt have chopped the plant.

When did you pick them off?

I have always harvested indoor grows as they mature. No use taking those small budettes earlier then they mature nor taking the large cola after it's peak. Doing this, I have more then trippled the amount of good bud harvested from a single plant.
These days I am only helping a friend to get started growing. He says I will have free weed as long as he grows for my help...sounds better then growing myself as I get no risk and a lot of benifit, as long as he does not get gready anyway and cut me out after he learns the ropes.
