Buy a cheap shop light at lowes or Home Depot, the ones with the metal dome and clamp to attach to things. That should be an easy fix. Yeah you can plug it into a power strip I dont see that surging it.

hey yo man u can goto walmart/homedepot and buy the socket that plugs directly into any standard plugin looks like a ligt socket with plug prongs stickin out the other side

I would save your monet on the cfl bulbs and buy a couple $20 150 W HPS.

thro vegging i heard its better 2 use cfls, although when its flowering time i will use hps bulbs
