Photos and Autos at the same time?

Hello all, I am currently awaiting my auto seeds to arrive in the mail to begin my first superbudget DIY indoor grow. I'll be growing my autos in coco coir and perlite, under 2 vander 2000w full spectrum LEDs.

My main question, however, is about the free seeds Seedsman included in with my order. All 5 seeds are photoperiod, 2 Alaskan Purples and 3 Jack Herer seeds. I am not plugged in to any grow groups, nor do I have any friends who grow, so I'm wondering if there's any way to grow these ladies with my autos. I dont even mind if they are small and lower producing, like a 2 liter grow or something of that nature, nor do I mind putting in the pruning and training work, should that be an option. I'd even be willing to toss them outside, although they'd be growing a bit late in a Michigan summer, under a fairly dense tree canopy, so that doesn't seem like a great idea.

I'm open to all suggestions, just curious what others have done or considered doing with extra seeds.

you could veg them all together under soemthing like a 20/4 , 18/6 schedule but flowering won't work. photos need 12hrs dark to flower

So perhaps my best bet would be veg together, harvest the autos, and once the autos are gone, switch to 12/12 and flower the photos?

that would seem like the best option. the only thign that sucks is that you won't know if the photos are female until you flip to 12/12. and they will be monsters by then. maybe start the photos like 4 wks after the autos start?

Thanks for the advice, I think I'm going to try to implement some 12/12 seed to harvest techniques and do a micro grow of sorts. I'll try to start my photos a bit later as to not mess with my auto's growth under the 12/12 light regiment.

either way, you'll still have to go to 12/12. with fems you'll get fems and with regulars with you might get males was my point.

I would hold off on starting the photos for a few weeks. Was in the same boat as you with seedsman seeds and did them all together. It worked out but i did have to do a lot of lst and training to keep photos down (on the plus I am looking forward to whats ahead because they are big). The few autos I have grown also sort of went into flower when they wanted to---a lot longer than the literature said and that did add on to the total grow time.

I am a first time grower, growing 3 auto's and 2 fems at the moment. My plan was to harvest the auto's and let the others flower but they are only 10 days old and the fems are already bigger xD.

All also got 3 free Jack Herer seeds, they have yet to arrive tho Anyways yes you can grow Photos and Autos together i'd recommend 18/6 lighting period the photos will veg and the auto will well auto flower. If you let the photos veg until the Autos are done they will be big enough to start flowering at 12/12 . I don't like 24/0 because i think all living things need rest when it comes to growing and plants aren't any different. plus it gives my light a 6 hour break

IMHO I think you would be better off starting off on photos. The thing with autos is that once they germ the clock is ticking so any screw ups or anything else you do that slow the plant down will be reflected in yield. And there will be screw ups. Also you’ll probably find out that breeders lie about the life cycle time.usually weeks longer than they say.
With photos if you have any issues early on you can take the time to straighten them out in veg before you go to flower. Personally I’m not a fan of autos but that just me. I guess they have their uses, perpetual harvest with a single tent, starting early for outdoor summer harvest etc.
