Phoenix Tears (Shona Banda method)

For those patients who are not able to grow 2LBS of fresh cannabis to make standard phoenix tears recipe, this is a great SINGLE DOSE that can be made multiple times a day.

I personally have shook the hands of a Crohn's patient who is completely off of ALL pharmaceuticals, when prior to cannabis, he would get severely ill after just a few days without his pharms.

bumping this old thread because i've had a question. Is the Shona/Vaped method as good/concentrated/effective as the solvent/RSO method?

I have heard it works. I can vouch that the oil that comes from this process can be very strong. I use a volcano vaporizer and the resin I clean from my bags and gear comes out red like that and can be eaten to great effect. The method used by rick is good but there are better ways being worked on. One person on here from Michigan has helped quite a few cancer patients and she has her own good methods of making RSO.

It is all essentially chemical extraction of cannabis resins that have been "activated" through the use of heat. Does that help some?

Are you trying to cure yourself or someone you know or just curious about the oil manufacture itself?

Thank you, that does help. I am working with two sick parents, one with ALS and one with chemo induced neuropathy. I have made some infusions and edibles, which have had positive results, so I think it's time to bring out the big guns. My parent with ALS is starting to experience some difficulty breathing. If the MMJ can protect the uninjured nerves, perhaps it can slow the progress of her disease enough to keep her off the breathing apparatus.

I have begun to grow so that we will have more MMJ to work with, but for now it's a few grams at a time, so I'm trying to work with what i've got, you know? I ordered a globe vaporizer and it looks pretty straight forward.

I haven't had much success reducing small amounts of tincture and I really don't want to waste any more expensive buds, you know?

Thanks for the info!

This can help when necessary, but I've seen much better results from making real RSO or "FECO" which is basically RSO made using everclear. To save on the cost of the everclear, it helps if you powderize or make dry ice hash with your material first. This greatly reduces the amount of solvent needed.

Good luck, and if you ever have any questions feel free to hit me up.

OK, good to know. I have a small amount of tincture in the freezer right now, which I made with Everclear. Are you saying that I could just reduce it and, viola, cannabis oil? Guess I should give it a try.

Yes, absolutely. Depending on how long the soak was, will depend on how much chlorophyll is in the mix.
