PhatAnna's First Indoor Grow!!!!

Hi everyone. well this is my first grow and i wanted it to be perfect :twisted:

this is my setup.
2 rooms.
|veg room|
4 42w cfls. 2 63w cfls
drip system. i copied it from mr green's i grow chronic video.
mylar along the walls
this veg room was made to keep 1-2 mothers alive and 4 clones

|flower room|
my friend helped me build this out of pvc piping :mrgreen:

2 14 gallon tubs. 2 net pots in each dwc so 4 plants in total
400w hps :cool:

i have this fan that looks like a computer fan but its like 4 times bigger haha. its going to be used for venting air out. i also have 4 smaller computer fans but i dont know where im going to put that.

im using ionic grow/bloom/boost nutrients. i have a ph/tds/ec meter

the closet is where the veg room is and if you look to the right you should see the massive black box/tent haha :peace:

Nice start...do you know what kind of bud you are going to grow?

so on october 29th i got a plate and bowl. i used the towel method to germ 2 seeds. i did this at 3pm and i checked back on it at 11pm and the seeds cracked and i saw 2 small white tails. i left it in the bowl overnight and in the morning the tails got longer.

soooo on the 30th i put them into 1 inch cubes pre soaked with filtered water. i put them into a dark place. on the 31st the seeds broke the surface of the cubes and started to sprout. transplanted them into 4 inch cubes.

1st of november i started seeing the greens.

today... they are growing hehe but they are still small. i think im doing well but in all honestly i feel like im doing a lot of things wrong. i hope this comes out well.

i got 5 seeds of og kush. the dealer is a friend of mine. he grew a bunch of them and also got seeds from it. in my opinion it was some of the best stuff ive ever smoked!! :twisted:

They look ok, but you did transplant them a little early. Not
that its a bad thing, but you want to make sure they root
throught the 1" cubes before transplanting usually...they
should be fine with the drip system though...how often do
you drip them?

Also, if you don't want your plants stretched, get that cfl
closer and add more if possible...good luck.

i dont drip yet. im feeding it filtered water. but iono for how long i should do that. gotta find more info on that.

how many inches away from the plants should the lights be?

so heres a update. i think i have a problem T.T

its day 7 since my seeds broke the surface and sprouted. the 2 plants were growing nicely (they are still small) but the cotyledon on both plants are starting to turn a lighter shade of green. its really small but there seems to be a slight yellowing on the edges of the cotyledon. the 2 other leaves (the first set of leaves that sprout with the plant that look like ovals)have a slight browning at the edges. T.T :-|

this all happened when i added 1/4th str solution to the plant. it didnt look like it improved anything so i flushed the plant with filtered water. i wake up this morning and it has the description i described above. ahhh

any input on this (what i did wrong, what might be the problem, etc.) would really help me :mrgreen:

also. in the center of the node, does it look like a new set of leaves are coming in?

another quick update. WITH PICTURES!!!

Day 13

checked them out today and the roots finally reached the bottom of the 4 inch cube so i decided to move them into a black pot. i dont know what size it is but its big enough me thinks

O and my drip system was being really lame so i decided to make another system. i got tubing and ran it along the 4 walls of my tray. both sides connected with a T fitting and a tube from the T fitting runs down to my water pump. along the big tube, i stuck smaller black tubes into the big tubes which leads the water to the plants.

i love these plants ^.^ GROWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

day 17 PUCTURESSSS
everything is going extremely smooth^.^.. its much easier then i thought it would be like but i got a long ways to go haha.

ive got 2 plants. the one on the left is a little behind the one on the right but they are both healthy me thinks.

yesterday i did a resev change to full strength. they adjusted to it like it was always there. im wondering when i should clone to determine sex. i think ima give it 2 more weeks or so.. iono any personal opinions would help :blsmoke:

I'd say take some clones when you have about 5 nodes or so. When you find out what sex your plants are, then you can determine whether or not the clones should live on.

UPDATE!!! DAY 21 veggy :mrgreen:

i named my plants. the smaller one on the left is called clare and the one on the right thats growing pretty well is called teresa.

everything is coming along great. im excited to start cloning but i think the stems and stuff need to be a bit longer and + my plants are still a little small. :cry:

when the time comes... im gonna take off 3 from each mother. 1 of each to tell sex and veggy the other 4 for a real harvest (if they both turnout to be girls) :mrgreen:

if they both turn out male.. im going to cry :cry:

KNOCK ON WOOD.

hmm what else... o yea. i finished the venting system for my harvest room. now i just gotta get a 5g bucket. ona. and some soil moist and we are good to go. my plants are stinken up the room and they arent even flowering yet :joint:

lol you know thats not what she actually looks like... or is it ? but ya n e ways id hit it ... the bud that ur growing that is... those look nice bro.. i had 2 juss like u and both turned out to be female and now they are in day 20 of flowering and damn they r lookin good.. good luck with this ... ive been reading ... i like it .. keep up the good work ... check out my grow journal
