I run the fan in half speed that what the grow shop said . I don’t have ducting hooked up to it it just sits there. The air conditioner which is a stand up unit is making it smell outside which I live in an apartment so they neighbors will complain. 10x10 flower room

my room is almost a 10x10 I use a 6inx24 phat carbon filter and I run a 6inch vortex fan the phat was rated for 550 and I run it around 450 give or take when my stuff is in full stink it still isn't enough for scrubbing of the room. acs will always leak if its a window banger try to seal it if its a single hose/dual hose u got work cut out for u to get them to work somewhat good.

If it's a scrubber (not an exhaust filter) then crank the speed up and it will work better. If that doesn't cut it then add another. I run two 12x48 Phat Filters with 12 inch vortex VTX series fans in each of my flowering rooms, if one is shut down the smell wins, it takes both to keep up.

That said, I have an AirROS unit now, when it's in a room I turn the carbon filters off and the odor is controlled.

Carbon filters are rated wrong for us, if i said your filter is rated 250, thats around where i am with the things.

Know that carbon filters have two ratings. One for single pass exhaust (lower CFM) and one for multiple pass scrubbing (higher CFM). Out running the filter in single pass will decrease exposure time to the carbon and therefore reduce efficiency.

Here is a chart with the numbers for you to compare:

So we need the single pass to scrub in one go which seems half the rating of max or multiple.
