PH way too high. Do I flush now or wait till next watering?

I have some seedlings with 2-3 nodes that are showing signs of iron deficiency and they arent growing very fast. Finally was able to PH my water going in and it's sitting around 8.

Question is should I flush with PHd water until runoff is good? I watered them 2 days ago. They're in 3 gal pots so take a while to dry out. I'm hoping I don't overwater them.

On the flipside I would have to wait 2 or 3 days for my normal watering again, so they would become even more deficient in that time...

I'm leaning towards flush and correct them problem now. What ya think?

I agree with you. I think you should PH about 6 gallons of water and flush those now. It'll bounce back from overwatering but you don't want it to sit in 8 ph. It seems it'd be more detrimental over the life of your plant to have it sit in that ph over a few days than to bounce back from overwatering for one watering. Plus you get your ph fixed. Just my two cents but it seems like it'd be totally worth flushing right now.

yes, def.. you can use vinegar, or citric acid organicly. like most people, i use gen hydro 'ph down'. there is also 'earth juice' but i'm not familiar with it.. the 'better' the product, the less effect it has on the water and the quicker the ph will rise back.. you always wanna have your ph correct.. you can purchase a little ph test kit with a little shaker vile, dropper, and ph up and down for like 15 bucks at a hydro shop.. i use 1ml of ph down per 2 gal.. but my next grow i wanna go with the earth juice and see what thats all about.. good luck bro!..

peace!! :leaf:

So I went ahead and flushed them with proper water. The runoff was 6.5. Here's to hoping they show some new vigor :)
