ph value in soil

Hey
I am about to put a few seeds in the ground, however the soil i am going to put it in - on the bag it says it has a ph value of around 4 to 4.5 - is that too low? what will my plants die if i start growing in that or? can i somehow higher the ph value with "household" stuff?

yeah dude 4 4.5 is low.i know should be 6.0 to 7.0.i guess you will lock out some nutes probable to have some defs.i know dolomit lime adjusts the ph.

i've never seen a bagged medium noting it's ph. what kind is it???

Oh guess I going to get some new soil then think that would be the best.
