ph up & down for aquariums?

i think the ph down powder is nothing more than baking soda (put some in a spoon,added vinager and it fizzed away) ive never used the liquids , people swear by them . i use lime to raise ph and soil sulfur to lower its what commercial farmers use and it works great

ok thanks Delta but if u find out ur ph level in soil is high and u want to lower it u still use sulfur and how since the plant is already in the soil thanks.

This solution will not harm your plants, although repeated use may make your soil or hydroponic medium too saline. These preparations commonly add sodium, which removes the chlorine by forming sodium chloride (table salt).
