ph question?

I have a pool ph test kit basically a vial and color coded setup. I cannot find a ph meter nor at this time can afford one. I know my tap water is 7.2 which from what i understand for a soil grow is pretty good. My question, is it possible to test after adding nutes with this kind of test kit? The reason i ask is the nutes change the color of the water. Is there a trick or do i have to break down and buy a meter?

Marijuana thrives in neutral to slightly acidic mediums. Soil and soilless mixes should aim for pH of 6. according to the GROWFAQ here. Your 7.2 is not so good.

yeah and there is also some easy ways to raise and lower your water without harming your babies. I have a kit from the organics place. But I agre your ph is too high.......

p.s. you can test your soil by giving nutes and balancing your ph and water until run off from the bottom then test that water this will also work for a NPK test..................
