soil grow
30 days into flower
400w HPS

1 plant of 5 started to look pretty weak so I tested the tap water - 8.0 - first time I ever tested it - my bad

so any way, the plants are due for a feeding but I am not so sure I should feed right away

i am watering with corrected tap water at about 6-6.5

so should I just water or feed em also?

I don't understand the question. Why do you not want to feed them? Are you worried about the PH jump?

If you are using a Peat based soil, it probably is already countering the PH of your tap water which is why you wouldn't have had any problems so far.

My thought was this:

if the plants couldn't use the nutes I already gave them 'cause the pH was off, then maybe I shouldn't give more nutes cause the old nutes are still hang'n around.

Some nutes are absorbed at low PH while others are absorbed at high, which is why it's ok to moderately go up and down.

If you think the PH has been too high for a while, then yes, you probably have a bunch of certain nute types left over, and it is probably a good idea to flush it all right out and start fresh. That way you don't become deficient in the nutes that it's already been able to take at high PH.
