After adding nutrients how do you check the ph? do you just do it the same way when you check your water in the first place? Cause I use floragrow and I took 5 ml squeezed 3 drops into the water and it turned browner it was clear at first but had a tinge of brown anyways how would I go about raising the ph after the nutes are in

i'm pretty sure you take the water that runs-off after you water or feed, then you test that water.

Try using a combo of dolomite lime & oyster shell flour into your soil. It helps keep your P.H. balanced even when your ferts. aren't.

no. just check the water's pH as you would normally. testing runoff is more soil pH than the water pH.

Assuming you're growing in soil, you've got two pH readings; the pH of the liquids you give the plant and the pH of the soil. The soil pH is most important. The liquid pH is really only important because it affects the soil pH. Most probe-type pH testers require that the soil be very damp, so you actually can only check the soil pH (with a probe) after watering or fertilizing.
