PH level reader?

Can anyone recommend a good PH tester?? I been looking on amazon and all that jazz but I don't know what im looking for. Any help?

any good brand will deliver you a good PH Meter , i suggest you buy a Hanna or milwaukee .. for example.

Yes a pen would be best.. I don't want to have to mix anything else into my water. thanks for the brand names

I use the blue labs pH pen its pretty good just takes a while to settle in at your number

Can anyone give me some info on a TDS? What's the deal with that?

TDS meters measure how much electrically conducting dissolved solids you have in your mixture. I have blue lab, hanna and cheap no name ph meters and ppm meters, I even have an oakton ph meter. The cheap ones don't last as long as the hanna, or blue lab, but they last longer than the oakton. Oakton didn't last a year, The hanna, blue labs, and no name ph meters, lasted a bit longer, so I'll stick to the cheap ph meter on amazon that only costs ten dollars. The TDS meters are about the same price. They either work or they don't. The ph meters, you can recalibrate. I compare the output against those ph test drops, every now and then. I have calibration solutions, they work, but not for ph 5.8, only 4 and 7.

I have the green Oakton from Amazon. Works better than the red Hanna I started with.

212 dollars for a blue lab combo meter. Works great! Get some extra bottles of calibration fluids and ph probe storage solution with it too. Comes with some but their tester foil packs. Amazing product accurate

lol the liquid doesn't work that way you will not mix the solution into your water , you take a water sample and add the solution to that , and the trow it away , but yes the pen its more reliable , if you go soil , the liquid will do it nicely and you dont have to worry about calibration's as the pen , but if you plan on going hydro , i suggest you buy a pen.

Ah yes that makes sense lol... I hate adding weird shit to my girls. I even feel iffy about adding nematodes for gnat control lol. But if that's the case I might just go with that liquid stuff. Calibrating the pens seem like a mission.

I used to chase my tail checking the PH balance of my water and soil. There is no better gauge than your Plant. Just watch her, and the leaves will tell the whole story.

There are many. One is yellowing of leaves. A PH imbalance is nothing more than a soil being too acidic or basic. Nutes will automatically send the PH down, as nutes are acidic.

Yellowing of leaves (can) means your soil is acidic.

Leaves tell the entire story if your plant is happy or not. If your plant looks healthy and strong, no need to fuck with or worry about the PH.

Not unless your water/soil is so far off that nothing will grow in it, but most soils today are excellent, and most water has been balanced if you live in America. Even well water must pass certain codes to be considered, healthy.

People don't realize this, but we must also keep our Body PH in check. Our foods, water, and other consumptive items all affect our PH. You know one reason people get Kidney Stones? A diet that is too Basic or Acidic. One way to cure this problem; drink Apple Cider Vinegar everyday. One way to cure a PH imbalance in your plant; mix Apple Cider Vinegar in the water.

The Human Body has almost the same PH requirement as Cannabis.
