Ok so bubble buckets, adjusted to 6.0 using dyna grow nutes, ( grow, bloom, cal mag and pro tek silicone solution). currently on 2nd grow with no problems like this on the first and doing everything the same.
So after one day being at 6.0 the next moring they slide to 4.3-4.5.

ANY INSIGHT ON THIS anyone??
One week into flower and want to get this ph stable and stay at 6.0.

thanks!!:joint:

lower your nutes. too high can nute levels can cause the ph to swing like that. just use a little less of each and see if that helps.

How much pH down are you using? My guess is you are using a lot to counter the silica additive?

This is the winning answer. The PPM is too high for the plant at the moment. Dillute your reservoir soup.... keep an eye on the ppms

dynagro pro nutes especially the 9-3-6 are excellent product,s but need more info like at what ec are you feeding the plants? i have done dozens of plants in bb's and i keep the nute strength low, never above 1.6, usually a lot lot lower say 0.90, it swings about like the ph, i like to keep it about 6 but it can derop to 5.5 or go up to 6.5 thats ok. As far as the silica is concerned i cant seee the point of adding highly alkaline products like sodium and potassium silicate, they were designed to give orchids shiny leaves, like Jonus said this could be the reason for the wild ph fluctuation, also how big is the bucket? the smaller the bucket the quicker the ppms start to swing, i would recommend one of at least 20 litres (about 7 gallons US), why do you need cal mag? also are the plants the same strain as the first ones, some plants react different to others in their nutrient requirements and uptake. also i hope you are ignoring the dilution rates on the bottles, they are notoriously too high, a product i use recommends 10ml/ltr i use 10ml/5ltr which gives an ec of about 0.9 and it works fine. and costs less at the recommended dilution rate the ec would be something crazy like 4 !

Hey guys thanks for the fast responses!
OK, i have 5-5gal DWC non recirculating buckets, same strain as last ak-47, i like to keep my ph at 6.0 but lately its impossible.
Ive read good things about the silica additive pro-tek and says something about adding disease resistence and stronger cell walls for increased nute uptake and just thicker stalks. Ive heard it has a ph of like 12 or something crazy, but that would help raise the ph not lower it like the prob im having.
i use cal mag cuz its part of their line and looks like need a dose when i feed.
When i do feedings, i do use very diluted ratios, like 9ml bloom(under 3 tsp), 6ml of cal mag, and 6ml of the silica additive pro-tek per 5 gal bucket with like 4 gal of water in it them and ph the solution to 6.0.
As far as ppm and ec numbers, i dont monitor them, i bought a ppm meter and it arrived broken and unusable and just havent used one ever since ive started and its been yrs, i just try and go easy on the nutes, watch the plants, keep just a small leaf tip burn and keep them looking happy in general. i also feed every other watering, so nutes with the bucket fill up, then next time they need to be filled i just add ph'd water with no nutes. and repeat.
what do ya think??

last night i fed them with the above nutes and quantities. and upped the ph to 6.7 to see if it would fall over night like normal back into the 5's.
well to my suprise this morning they are still in the 6's at 6.5 to be exact.
Soo not sure if its fixed or just temporaly gona stay there, but im a little relieved, i can always lower it to the desired 6.0 with my GH ph down but want to leave it a little high to see if it will fall on its own, and how much it will fall and how rapidly it will happen.
Thanks for the insight on what could possibly be causing this, and ill keep this updated till i have a constant and stable ph.
Thanks again and if anything else comes to mind please post it here!

well im feeding with all 16 essential nutes, everything is in the nutes i give them, they are showing tip burn and no defeciacies, so i would say they are ok but i really wouldnt know for sure they just look happy, besides the ph prob.
So toady i check them and they are low again at 5.7 so i add 3ml ph up and its perfect at 6.0
Meanwhile i call Dyna-gro and ask what i should try to keep the ph stable. they tell me to try and first add nutes to a 5gal bucket with h20 and ph to 6.0 and let sit overnight. then check ph again in morning and if stable your good, if its off adjust and again wait til say after u get off work, and check ph again if good then use if not call them back and see whats up from there!! im tired of all these odd PH swings.

I'm having the same problem, using Advanced Nutrients sensi a&b. I change water add my nutes and adjust ph to 5.8. 24hrs later its at about 4. Adjust again to 5.8 and 24hrs later 4 again.
DWC 4 buckets with a 50 liter res. Pineapple Kush. The only difference in this grow besides the PK is I started using F-1 fulvic acid, I tried a week without it and made no difference.
Flushing now and next round will be Sweet Strawberry Haze. Any input is appreciated.
