pH buffering Oneness - total BS??

hey guys and gals,

I’m currently using oneness from humboldt nutrients as part of my line up, and I’ve read in a couple places (one of them on here) to let the nutrient mixed water sit out 24 hours because the pH will change over time.

I did three tests,

One I took the pH right away, one after 24 hours, one after 48.

pH never changed and was always the same lol

There’s nothing on their website that I can find about letting stuff sit.

Is there any truth to this? Or is this just bro science for stoners.

Why would you mix nutes, only to leave them sitting for a day?

Hopefully someone can chime in. Maybe everyone just has their own way of doing things.

Duh. Nothing about it on their website tells me letting them sit is not required.

When pHing hard tap water it's a good idea to see if it changes over time as it often can. That's a one-time thing to see if further pH down is needed to get the water at a stable pH. Once nutes are added it should be used right away.
