PH and how it affects flushing?????

Flushing my grow with plain water before harvest is somthing I have never done, crazy I know!

Should I worry about the PH of my plain water? Cause really I dont want the plant to uptake anything anyway right? So if the PH is out of range like 7.5 or 5.0 then there should be no problem with this in theory, right?

The plants can drink water but cant uptake nutes. That's the way I see it?

I need someone who has worked on perfecting the flush to give me some guidence here.

Plus: What would be the minimum days of flushing before harvest? Today is day four of this craziness, and they're ready to come down outside of the flush? Should I, would I, could I?

Yes, you should be concerned about flushing without Ph water. Its called Shock
Some people flush..then wait a week before harvest.
I personally just cut off nutes a 2 weeks before harvest. Because, I grow in a SCROG. So, can't take them out.

Good luck

uhhh....... yeah, technically... but, no need for issues at the end. if you keep it within' proper range, you wouldn't (hypothetically) have anything to worry about.

More acidic water can dissolve more salts. Your goal with flushing isn't just to pump some pure water through the plant, it's to rinse clear any salt buildup on your roots and media. Again, slightly acidic will do a better job. Also, a really light nute concentration is better than pure ro water. I think it's because it's more polar, so does a better job of dissolving salts.

If you can hand flush with 5.2 ph water, catch the runoff and monitor. If it's coming out the bottom higher than 5.2 or your ppms go up, keep flushing. If your running a recirculating system, dump your system and refill with 5.2ph water and write down the initial ppm. keep checking your ppms. If your res isn't too big, you should see your ppms and ph go up slightly. Once ppm and ph level off, you know you're clean. There's nothing more to dissolve. If you want, dump your res and refillone more time.
