you want a ph range of 6.5-7.0 if you're going with soil. If you're going hydro you want anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5

yes. slightly acidic is best.

distilled water has 0 ppms and is consistantly a ph of 7.0 its all i water with, just a comment.

water pH is 6.95 now, I can not leave it 6.95 ??

wouldnt recommend it, you will be locking out valuable nutrients keeping it up at 7. i know its only .5 but will make a difference. Get a cheap aquarium ph down solution and soil testing kit. you may be adding 6.95 water to ph 7 soil or maybe higher

You'll be fine as long as you keep the ph between 6 and 7. The only effective way to change soil ph is to transplant into balanced soil. Balance your water at 6.5ph.

7 is fine in soil. The soil will lower the ph with the decomposing organic matter in it.
