Where I applaud all your efforts, there are many major factors that come in to play with those stoops in Dodge City. Big pharma is the biggest lobby and I also believe legislators at many different levels own stock in big pharma. When the prohibition of alcohol came into play, it was through a Constitutional Amendment. It is the only amendment that has been repealed. It's being repealed meant that this affected the entire country. The boondoggle we face today is the states have had to use the 10th Amendment, but cannabis/hemp remains a Schedule One and they refuse to remove it from the Controlled Substances Act. There is no consistency in the law as one defies the other. Canada is going whole country, which will bring consistency. The Mounties will have to abide by what is written.

I have fought for over 25 years against the absolute worst laws ever put into place in my lifetime. I am ecstatic about the way things have gone in the last 10 years. I truly believe the internet has been the biggest weapon as the pen is mightier than the sword. Put those petitions on here. Bottom line there Donald Trump is if you want to make America great again, relegalize hemp and disband the DEAth Squads.

I get the feeling that most people who enjoy cannabis could give a fuck about legality until it matters to them. The people locked up for weed should be released, which happens when it gets rescheduled. So, we can sit and complain or work for change. I have been in contact with my reps and am asking the White House to help this happen. It's easier to toss sarcasm and follow, changes only come with effort. By speaking up I am taking a stand on this. Cannabis should never have been made illegal and fixing it will make the world a better place. Signing a petition requires an email, so here's a chance to help. Unless you prefer to see people continue to be locked up.

I dont care if its legal as long as its decriminalized. I spent 3 month in jail for .5 grams.

Living where it is legal and then visiting where it is not drives the point home that we NEED federal legalization.

Getting it rescheduled isn't the real issue. Alcohol and tobacco not under FDA regulation, nor the Controlled Substances Act. They are regulated by the BATF, which is where the DEA was formed out of. They need to completely remove cannabis/hemp from the CSA all together and add a letter to the BATF which would make it the BATFM. All this could be done quite easily. Both alcohol and tobacco are also regulated by the states. There are still "dry" counties, including the one where Jack Daniel's is made. The issue is to make people understand that cannabis should be sold the same as alcohol and tobacco. This puts more consistency in the law. It would also open up the cannabis industry to the banks. The misinformation campaign waged by the Amerikkan Gubment has made many forget about the 2 most dangerous drugs known to man which are alcohol and tobacco. They advertised tobacco on the Flinstones.
