Where I live (UK) the biggest problem for any young plant in the garden is slugs. I cut a piece of copper sheet and bend it into a circle. Put it around the stem of the plant and sink it into the ground an inch or so. It stops the slugs from getting to your precious plants. Apparently it gives them a mild shock so they go elsewhere to find something to nibble.Thank you!
I use coppper pot scrubbers. Its amazing how much damage a friggin slug can do in one day.Where I live (UK) the biggest problem for any young plant in the garden is slugs.
