Hey RUI,
I'm a long time lurker of RUI and have gotten A TON on useful info on this site(Thank you all RUI members for putting this useful info out there for people to have and learn). I thought I would start my first journal to try to give out some of the information I have taken in. I am no where near being a "master farmer" but I do have a couple years experience and still learning more and more everyday.
My setup:
Flowering closet: I have a 400 watt air cooled HPS with the good ole Stanley blower exhausting into the attic thru a CAN 33 filter. The closet is roughly 3X3X8 around 9 sqft. I have one fan that blows towards the glass on my air cooled light and across the top of my canopy. Simple setup not the best not the worst but gets the job done with quality meds.
Vegetative Tent: 51.5"Long x 22.5"Wide x 48.5"Tall After starting in the closet I went out and bought a tent a few months into everything so I could start a perpetual grow and have my mothers and seedlings and clones in the tent ready to flower after harvests. The tent was a great investment. It is set up with a CAN 33 filter with a 4" inline fan and 4 4ft t5 floros. I have a fan blowing across the top of my canopy.
Nutes: I started out with Technaflora's "recipe for success kit" and then started using subcool's super soil recipe trying to go all organic and got a starter kit of Botanicare CNS 17 line. I still use a combo of all 3 diff types of nutes. I make tea's time to time with Bone meal, blood meal, kelp meal, and bat guano. Haven't gotten the all organic down to a tee so i use chemical nutes time to time.
I have one waterfarm that i got years ago and never really used that I am planning on using as soon as my cuttings root. Already have it setup and running just waiting for those roots to pop out of the rockwool cube to shove into the hydroton.
Strains: Currently I have a number of strains all going at once.... in flowering I currently have 3 Fruity Chronic Juices, 1 Ganesh Spirit, 1 Blueberry Gum, 1 OG Kush, and 1 AK-48 (this will be my last run of AK-48 because the potency just isnt there.... actually one of my better yielders but I need potency for my medical conditions). In my Veg tent I have an Original Amnesia mother plant, OG Kush mother, Ganesh Mother, FCJ mother, i have 3 Sensi seeds Super Skunk seedlings, 1 Bubba 76 seedling and 1 NLxBB seedling. I have a few more seeds stashed away waiting to be popped as soon as i get room to start em and decided which strains to keep and which to get rid of.
