Permaculture and cultivation of cannabis

I was curious if anyone employs the idea of permaculture while growing their cannabis? For example does anyone plant their cannabis plants next to plants that produce nitrogen or perhaps plant other plants that prefer more shade beneath their cannabis plants etc?

Apparently legumes are "nitrogen-fixers" and will preserve higher levels of nitrogen in the soil.. Also there are some plants that push roots down really deeply thereby pulling up nutrients that plants use from further down in the soil. I'm still learning but maybe there are other ideas out there?

Did this topic die? Right now I've been using permaculture principle heavily in my food grade hash extraction. But on a practical level, yes I have let my ducks into the greenhouse for pest management.

This is a great post, usually i don’t post comments on posts but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so!

I just acquired a large pot of comfry that I'm looking into, but my crop is surrounded by mint to hide the canna flavor ...lol
