i just got back from the garden center

got bone meal to prevent yellowing leafs and make sure the plant gets enough potassium

Q ; can I mix the bone meal in the soil or is it best to mix it with water..?

i got perile too;

Q;how much perile should be in the soil mix - the soil already got 5% perile in it - should i add more..?

one last thing;
a while back i got ph-down liquid from my local fishtank store - it says on the bottle that it will (sic) lower ph - but also the KH of the water..?
now - the printing on the bottle is in german. I have no idea what KH is - anybody?

rock on!

bone meal and blood meal are best used if mixed in the soil, as it breaks down over time
I have no idea what KH is either, but the perilite, you can mix with the soil untill it looks like you have an even mix in the soil. Don't use too much because it will hold water, but sometimes that is helpful.

another Q about soil;

the soil I got got the NPK 15-5-12

now I learned that with this much NPK already in the soil I do not have to use any nutes in the vegging stage - but is it a possibility that the NPK of the soil is just to high...

if anybody has the nute burn problem - its me..

:wall:

I would say no on adding more nutes through the veg stage, but that's just me. I would just watch your plants and let them tell you what they need or don't need. You can burn them with too high of NPK ratios
