Paul Krugman is an established, non-partison (IMO) international economist. I just read an article by Mr. Krugman which may put the American debt in perspective. The link to this article is http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/30/krugman-deficit-hawks-try_n_373976.html.
Basically, the article contains direct quotes from Mr. Krugman, within context, claiming that the U. S. is well-positioned to handle the debt current and future debt. It also contains a video discussion of the cost of the war in Afghanistan.
This article, coupled with the fact that U.S. creditors are continuing to extend credit leads me to a position of comfort with our wonderful President, Sir Barach Obama. Eat me. (kidding, sort of)
