I would say something bought but something made would be ideal anything but the brown dirt in the front yard …..I thik people are missing the point here which is to keep it simple when starting
My point is you are very vague.

How about be more specific.

Just becuase it's store bought doesn't mean it's a good soil that will feed to the very end. I can't think of a set ngle brand of soil that will grow a plant from start to finish.

Got a good recipe for soil? Brand recommendations? What about bottled nutes? What brand you recommend and what feeding schedule.

Can you show us some pics of plants you've grown in nothing but soil?

Just trying to get a good gauge of how your method works.

Yes. They grew. You can see where they cannibalized the fan leaves to.feed themselves.

Sure less is more but to what extent. A bag of worm castings or garden tone would go a long ways. Cannabis puts on a lot of weight the last couple weeks of flower. Why starve them?

Also those lost fan leaves photosynthesize better than sugar leaves.

I mean when restricted to a certain number of plants to maximize yield is beneficial.

I mean why starve them? It's not that much more effort to put a bit of worm castings once a week or garden tone every couple weeks. Mix a bit of a good one part once a week.

Those aren't near done and look to be struggling due to lack of nutrients.
