looking for some info on peat moss substrates. dont know the first thing besides its generally regarded as not ideal, but i have some ideas i would like to bring to fruition.

any info in regards to mycelia or mushrooms and thier relation or use of humic/fulvic acids.

also canndo, if you happen across this one, is it possible, to make a "straw jar" for the incubation of mycelium?(regardless it its origion inoculation wise)

I don't see why you couldn't make a straw jar, but you won't be able to shake it, and I believe it would "knit" very quickly making it a pain to take out of the jar let alone use as spawn.

There are straw pellets that are compressed straw flakes. I have wondered how they work, if they retain their shape they would be quite a nice addition to one's growing arsenal, if they don't, it might be a very nice bulk substrate, it would likely colonize very quckly.

Peat is a poor substrate because it has little nutrient and the ph is very acid.

i know peat is poor choice, but give me the down low, its what i got funds are tight. i need a bunch of shit, but there are more important things right now, plus i got a lot of it and no other way to use it ATM.

compressed straw pellet sound interesting, im was thinking about the knitting too what if mix some sand? or verm? or perlite even?

It is going to knit what ever you do, it just takes longer with vermiculite. Really, I wouldn't go with peat. If you want, skip the bulki and fruit from spawn. You can get popcorn. Fruiting direct from popcorn works quite well - use your peat for casing.
