Pc Unit Growing

Well i have a old pc that i dont use. so i thought wouldnt it be cool to grow some bud in it?
the case size is
W=13inches
H=10 inches
Depth=6inches
now im wondering if the case is bigenough?
ive grown in a hydro unit (till it got stolen by the rents)
ive grown in soil. (i have a current project all ready going)
now i know that the case isnt really high enough (:mrgreen: ) but i plan on only haveing one plant in it. the case has two fans (one pulling in air and one blowing out.) what kind of light do you suggest i use?
one of the fans gives off a blue neon light would that affect the plant?
what kind of a yield should i expect from a pc grown plant?
if the case is to small what size do you suggest i use?
money is kind of a issue.
 
try a old fridge has good hight and own cooling system,air tight. 3 shelves or more,insulated ,if i had time i try it.
 
well a fridge would be sweet if i had my own crib (thought if i had that i'd have a two 12 plant hydro systems with 2 mothers, haze and kush) but im still stuck on the pc idea. im looking for a lighting system that will work. i have a bigger case but with out a idea on the lighting i cant do much. if anyone can give me some help i'd be gratefull

your case isnt big enough
 
personalise a wheely bit .there cheap and easy.were we live ???we get w/bins for garden waste, they have breating holes in the so the g/waste dont rot. add a couple of little fans, one for in air and one for expell air and put your lite, on the lid easy for i or 2 plants.i havent done this yet i am going to give it a go.
 
the bigger case size, the better, i imagine. do a search on this site. a couple of people have already done what your trying and they were successful.

but i advise you to still get the highest wattage CFL you can and just upgrade your venting to match. even though the flowers look good growing, the dried buds will NOT be dense. they will be loose and low quality unless you can get up to 3-4,000 lumens. (from experience)

i personally think both are too small..pc cases just dont have enough room to grow nice healthy plants with good bud production..if your smace and funds are limited try something like this..

:) thanks. that will work for where i live. im still not giveing up the pc case idea thought (1 just want one plant). im thinking of getting a server case. might find one on the street

A server case would be the best idea. Big corporations have them and throw them out all the time for these new blade center type servers. Your best bet for lighting would be either cfls or fluoro tubes.
 
Or perhaps he could wait until he moves into his own place instead of disrespecting his parents and putting them at risk by doing something illegal under their roof. That's just my two cents though.

yea you know we get this all the time...mind your business..i didnt see him say he lived at home still..probable but i dont assume things..i just wanna know how your day went better for posting this.
 
haha thanks. see it really dont matter if i do or dont. not unless your a officer. so bugger off. i have created a few drawings of how im going to have the case. if im right i can grow one plant in a mini hydro system within a pc case. spend only round 200 usd and get amazing mothere plant or at least 1 1/2 ounces

ha thanks. i just need a few bits of advice on what lights to use. idk if they have any HID lights that will pit into a pc case >.<. if i had a dro system with mini flourecents wound it work (23w)

well the problem with that is in a pc case a HID would be extremely hot..i dunno how your gonna set up hydro in a pc case but if you have like a drawing or something of what you wanna do or can post some pics you will find alot of help.
 
just get one 30w or to 20w clf or you wont get rid of the heat and you wil have to start them on 12/12 and crop or train them it will be rily hard.
and im non going to tel you my way for free LOL hehe
