OK, i know it wont produce a lot of weed, but thats not my concern. A little would be awesome. I just need some help wiring the lights and fans, can anybody help, maybe send me a link where it explains how i could do this. All input on growing techniques and styles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks u everyone

well the CFL should fit into the socket (E40?) then id stick that through where the PCU goes. the fans can be mounted in the case and can be wired to an old phone charger. i think theres a guide on that in the grow FAQ

ok quick but simple.

keep the pc psu, this will power all fans required,. you can check DIY section for the PC power supply mod. the green and a black wire is all you need too connect from psu. your fans can then be run from this psu unit as well as led's etc etc etc.

lighting cables, these can be routed via the base plates on rear of pc case where your GFX card would come out. or you could use one of the slots left once motherboard has been removed have have all cabling routed out via these holes.

ok, well im ready to start growing, ive been testing out my grow station with some plants the last couple days, and the temp are way high. lookin at 100 top and around 80. i have 4 fans, one exhast, two in take, and one fan just on the inside to blow on plants. will these temps change at all once plants are in and i water? or what should i do?

well your temps will be high, your not realy moving much air in and out of that case. go with 2x exhaust fans atleast for a start (bigger the better). 2x intake fans then use a single fan inside for air movement.

i doubt you would need a fan inside the case with a correct inlet/outlet setup, you will create your own air movement around case. and your better of SOG the plant from start in case so you maximize area inside.

any fan below 8cm is no good, anything between 9cm and 12-14cm is fine, these shift more cubic feet a min, a standard 12cm fan running around 1600rpm will give you 65.5cfm so nearly 70 cubic metres of air a min.a 8cm fan will give say at 1600rpm 20cfm max

you need more fans and/or a better layout of inlet and outlet. an idea would be this: a single dedicated fan with duct unit too draw heat from tubes/bulbs out of the case, you could use a right angled pc fan duct too suck air from around bulb and expeling directly out of case or ducted too scrubber

Fan Ducts : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come ducting plates/kits

wat i think it is, is that the hot air coming out of my pc is just staying in the cabinet i have the pc in and is being circulated through it. i wonder if i have like an air duct running from my outtake fan to out side the cabinet would help eliminate the heat? might work, so the air that will be going back into the pc wont be the same hot air?

yes, yes ,yes that will work.

your expelled hot air is being drawn back into case and not expelled into your room. you have too think of the pc case as a very small grow room/tent.

if you want even more crazy, you could use a aero system/hydro system in a full tower system case. but thats another crazy idea.

i personaly would add a fan too rear of cab, this will draw any hot air in the cab (not pc case) out and help draw cool air in too. naving a cab inside a cab means you have too look after and vent two spaces.

i would also search forum for anything mentioning pc case growing. check others ideas and problems, this way you can put all the best ideas into one case. ideal things would be: mini carbon scrubbers, homemade co2 gens, SOG/LST.

having a small area requires a smallish plant. you cant be putting in a plant that when full grown is 5 foot high into your 12/14 inch high pc case. so selection of strain will be important too. you want atleast a smoke for your high amount of effort. looking into the lowryder strains these grow around 12-14 inch so can/could be grown with some tender LST or a SOG screen.
